Has anyone got a Taifun GT (HCigar) RBA. Need help fixing a problem with 510 center pin shorting it seems.

I put it onto my ohm tester with no build on it and I am getting a resistance reading that is jumping all over the place, which indicates a short or something is wrong. I have even gone so far as to remove the positive and negative posts to be sure there is not a problem there, but even with the posts removed I am still getting what to me seems to be a short. :banghead:

Have adjusted the center pin in and out, have tried stretching the spring a small amount, but no matter what I try there is what IMO is a short. :banghead:

Please anybody who has got any experience with the Taifun GT that can help me the help will be greatly appreciated.

Does your pin look anything like this?

I don't have a Taifun, but the info in ---> here <--- should help you sort out the problem.

No, I am aware of that problem with the Kayfun, but the Taifun center pin is smaller and far away from the inside of the 510 connection, that was the first thing i looked for, but I can say with confidence that that is not the cause or the problem, the issue I am experiencing seems to somehow be internal to the base but related to the center pin.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

@Alex thanks for the pics which show all the parts of the base.

Where did you find this, as I am sure there must be an explanation behind all these images, explaining what is going on here. This might help me.

Thanks u , will look into this post to see if I find the fix to my issue there. You have been a great help. Much appreciated. Will let you know if I come right or not.

I hope this helps

@Wayne, I use the gt and the only thing I found was If I tighten the the pin screw all the way in the little oring stretches over the screw head and falls out and didn't want to fire. Must've created a short for me. First time it happened I didn't even realise and could've easily lost the o ring.
