3AVAPE - absolute satisfaction Bought some gear from www.3avape.com @3avape - had to try them out. Good, to excellent prices, had a couple of emails back and forth regarding stock, quick replies from Dara. Super professional service. And now listen to this... I ordered Wednesday afternoon of 6 September so they really only got the order on Thursday. All stock rounded up, and shipped on Saturday. And I sh1t you not. This morning DHL knocked on the door. The 13th of September. Customs cleared with no cost, all neatly packaged, including 20 odd 60ml Gorilla bottles. The Manta came in at about R355, the Haze at R220, and the Ceto at R260, all authentic of course. Some 24g wire, and yes those Geekvape wire packages have 8 coils and a coil tool in each. (2 different coils in each package, and they are braided coils, 16 strands). That works out to be about R55 for 8 braided coils. Shipping was $41, divided in the 3 people who bought in, no complaints. Will use again.
International vendors have caught quite a bit of heat lately, I think it's often complications that arise out of a language barrier as well as the distance and difference in time zones (although in this day and age that seems like a weak reason at best). But it's great to read a success story for a change!
I was worried about the same, but Dara's English was quite a bit better than mine! Places like Fasttech and Gearbest is going to start giving our country lots of crap. I have 2 packages sitting in ZA, but outside the walls of the Post Office. 2 months now so they have been declared lost. I have 2 others also coming in, same problem. Another mate of mine - same problem. Lately if the package actually enters ZA via these places using free shipping, then you look at anything between 40 and 70 days to deliver. (I've had about 50 plus packages delivered like this in the past, so I kinda know the process, no troubles on where and when to send the invoices). And they have become a lot worse this past year. They are simply going to take the Amazon route and stop sending us any packages. All because of our pathetic postal service.
The winner rating was for the first sentence, the rest is actually depressing as all hell! I think getting a few buyers on board to split the cost of DHL shipping is definitely the way to go! I received packages from China in 48 hours with it, and that just blew me away! The price tag does make it intimidating though, but if you can spread your savings across your purchases, and the cost of shipping across a few buyers it is definitely a legit option.
True. Split the shipping. But the $41 went quite far TBH. I tested it last week, I was able to load about 10 tanks on the order before the price went up. Look make no mistake, I fully support most local vendors. But nothing from with alternatives. Oh on the second "non-winning" sentence... Shall I do a review on our beloved SAPO?
I ordered two tanks from them, it never arrived. I contacted them and they said sorry, can't help you. As they did not offer insurance at checkout, it falls on them to carry the insurance of items bought, but they just blew me off and from there ignored all my emails. Will never recommend them or buy from them again.
Has anyone ever tried using the Aremax system where you ship from the USA to one of their locations in the USA and then they ship it directly to your door step? As far as I know that cost is ALOT cheaper than using the likes of dhl etc
The language barrier is quite comical at times. Some of the emails I've gotten from them sound as if they were written by Charlie Chan.
I would agree that it is impossible for CT to be considered remote and that just blows my mind. But then again, the fact that they offered you those options is still impressive in my eyes. Normally once an international vendor has your money, that is the end of it, and come hell or high water a refund would NEVER be offered.
@KrayFish404 , Dibs on the mantas if you decide to sell. Nice to see you got the stuff so soon, thats faster then using our wonderful SAPO that forever in a backlog
@KZOR You can always ship to my office, I'll bring it to you the same afternoon? DHL international probably sees our neighbourhood as a rural area.
There were 3 Mantas, surprise! Ha ha but only one is mine, going to stuff it full of that braided coils in a moment. I am just not happy with the ohms, the one with the highest ohm is .35, running dual will suck my battery.
Im running a .28 SS 26g, I get fairly good battery life and excellent performance from the tank. Its a B!tch to wick though, juice wholes need to be filled with cotton and pressed against the open juice port otherwise you will get leaking when filling. Lol if your mates wana sell, il take them.
Hi @KrayFish404 - thanks for the thread and sharing your views. I want to start renaming thread titles in this subforum along the lines of how we do it in the local retailer reviews subforum - ie where there is a single thread per vendor. That would mean this thread would henceforth become the thread for reviews on this vendor. I would then put "Absolute Satisfaction" in at the top of your original post. Are you comfortable with that?
That's 100 percent @Silver. I would almost want to recommend a thread for rating courier services but the SAPO one would get quite a bit of hate speech. Then again it would be lovely to refer Mark Barnes to it as part of his failure to us poor South Africans.
Ok, thanks @KrayFish404 All done Let this thread from now on be the thread for reviews of this International Vendor I will work on the other threads over time
I find it works for me with all my tanks to juice the coils, then when they swell, then only to carefully stuff them into the holes. They are then swollen and more malleable, and no restrictions with cotton making clumps. 90/10 VG/PG with very little chance of dry hits. Well, the braided coils gave me 0.14 ohms, running it at 57w (3.63v so didn't even need much!!!) and clouds for days. First time in a long time I got silvered on 3mg.
They all do it lately. Stupid FDA and their rubbish. THat's why you'll see many tanks coming out with both a 2ml, and a 3.5 to 5ml glass. Then again those warnings are for the Americans. I am sure even their scissors comes with warnings on them "Do not run with scissors"... Goto be PC not just about race and religion, but about general intelligence too.
Don't I know it! I read an article about a lawsuit in which the plaintiff was awarded a cash sum because he rode his bike w/o a seat and got an ass injury. His winning argument was that there should have been a written warning on the bike.Duh!!!
Placed an order with @3avape on 14th, my parcel arrived this afternoon via DHL. Happy customer, thank you!
