    Hi Guys

I have fallen head first, very quickly into the vaping rabbit hole.
I smoked my last cigarette around the 15th of March and haven't looked back since.
My progression has lead to my current (alternating) setups of:

Pico 25 and a Tesla Punk 85 with a Berserker, Gear and an Oumier VLS (kindly donated to me by Caliguy), currently in a single coil build. I want to have as much differentiation between the setups as possible, so an MTL, Single coil RTA and then moving to a dual coil setup on the RDA. I initially thought a squonker is the way to go, but then @CaliGuy put the idea out there of doing a pot-mod setup, to really get a juice eating, cloud chucking machine.

I am very much still in the research phase, as anything mech-ish scares me a little, but I would like some opinions on a debate between a Noisy 2 and the Invader 4X from Tesla. Which is (in your opinions) the best, but please give some solid reasons why you feel that way.

I will initially be pairing whichever mod with the VLS in a dual build, until I find the perfect RDA for it.
    TIA

Dont have any advise, but I did see a big debate on facebook the other day about people calling potentiometer mods, mech, which it isnt. They have protection so you will be safe and so they not a mech

    Hi @CJB85

    I have a Noisy Cricket v2 and a Invader 4.
To start with I didn't buy the Invader 4X because it only takes 18650 batteries where the Invader 4 takes 21700's.
To me it seems like the NCV2 and Invader 4X is very much the same except when it comes too looks.

The Invader 4 with a pair of Samsung 40T 21700's is a absolute BEAST. The physical size of the mod might not suit everyone because its quite bulky. I mainly use my Goon or Kennedy and it makes for a very awesome vape.

The Noisy is a bit more comfortable to hold but can also be slippery, you can get a custom leather pouch made for it which will help with that.
The Noisy has both Series and Parallel option when you flip the circuit board around in the battery door so depending on your needs it will fire up any atty.

Hope this helps a bit and if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

    Thanks Juan!
In terms of size, I think I would prefer the larger of the two, not because of how it feels in your hands, but narrower mods keep falling over in my trouser pocket (Pico and the Tesal Punk).
My daily vape would most likely still be an MTL setup, so the RDA will be an occasional treat, when I can't irritate those around me.
I guess the looks of the device are secondary, I am looking more at which will be the easiest to use and hits hardest without a serious risk of blowing my jaw out of the back of my head.

Seeing how scarce the Noisy has become (or seems to have), I may just go the Tesla way out of convenience... If there is not material performance difference between them.

The Noisy V2 is available at Sir Vape at R589 and at Foggas at R 550.

If you can stretch a bit more financially, I would strongly recommend a hex ohm bud. You will probably end up there sooner or later anyway

Why the Hex over the other two? Definitely not performance. So is it the "lifetime" warranty? I know of 2 people that actually had the means to send it back to get fixed or replaced out of all the Hex owners I know. Looks are subjective. I would much rather advise a person only now considering to venture into owning a PWM mod a safe, hard hitting alternative that is not going to set him back R2.5 - R3k into something he might not even like.

I bought my Hex v2 in immaculate condition in the classifieds for R1000. Had it for 2 years and never had a single problem with it. Also owned 2 Invader 3's and a Noisy V2. Would take the Hex over either of those any day.

I get what you are saying about investing into something good, but in this case it is like telling a cricketer to stretch his budget on a set of golf clubs he will use at a golf day every now and again.
I very much prefer a good MTL and the RDA will be an occasional naughty pleasure. So if I am going to stretch a budget anywhere, it would be to save for the next Tripod group buy, or perhaps an authentic Dvarw. The Pot-Mod is just to get a simple, hard hitting treat every now and again without blowing myself up.

Exactly, I need to start making some very clear compartments for what I want from a vape and stick to it. If I could collect like Uncle @Rob Fisher, I would, but alas...
