Been enjoying the combo since Thursday.

But I've had some leaking issues.
Juice under the tank and have found some juice inside the mod.

What am I doing wrong ?

I had a Recurve and sold it the next day, to me it just has a too shallow juice well not nearly as deep as the Drop, hated the recurve for that cause I had to sqounk more regularly. Back On my Original Drop and bought the Drop Sole too ......brilliant RDA - DigiFlavour knows what they are doing when designing the Drop. But i havent has the that you have with the Recurve ...... maybe the squank pin is not properly tightened?

Will look at the pin.

Drop Solo is on the wishlist.

Mine did that aswell.. its leaking through the o-rings. Put the rda in very hot water so that the o rings loosen up

Most of the juice is under the tank. So it could be the pin.

Will check orings and pin tomorrow

Im running 2x Pulse + Recurve setups at the moment with zero leaks on either. Check the pin and o-rings as stated. I trust you never squonk till you see juice coming out the air holes? Because that would obviously lead to what you're experiencing.

I like pressing the bottle, but I stop before the juice comes out the drip tip

This post should actually go into Squonking 101 since I think a lot of new guys will have the same or similar questions:

There are some constants and some variables to squonking. One constant is a juice bottle that when squeezed will expel a variable amount of juice depending upon how hard/deep its pressed. Upon releasing it will return to it's original shape/volume and in the process recover the full volume that was expelled, either with juice or air depending on whats located at the open end of the outlet.

The variable is the atty. Some BF RDA's (eg. the Drop) have a protruding BF 510 pin in the juice well, ergo it will return juice to the squonk bottle until the juice level in the well falls below that of the protruding pin, after which it will draw air for the remaining required volume to be recovered and thus leave a small amount of juice in the well to be absorbed by the wicks as required. This means that it will take longer before another squonk is required, but the vape will also leak unless kept upright as there will be excess juice present in the well.

Other atties, like the recurve, have BF 510 pins that are flush with the deck meaning that basically ALL the expelled juice is returned to the squonk bottle with only that which was absorbed by the wicks remaining, which means that the mod is much less likely to leak when tipped, but will require more frequent squonks. In these atties there is no benefit in squonking any more than required to fully saturate the wicks seeing as any juice over and above that will go back into the bottle below. In the recurve specifically, I've found that as soon as I can see the juice reaching the top row of air holes, I can release as the wicks are this point 100% saturated.

Perhaps try this out, remove your 810 driptip to get a better view when squonking and see how far the juice needs to come up before the wicks are saturated. Usually it doesn't even need to pass the bottom row of air holes. And then tip nr 2 is squonking longer rather than harder, i.e. squonk to the first row of air holes, hold for a sec, then release. All thsi should minimise your leaking.

Regarding the mod, there should be no juice inside. If you can, return it. Check reddit, a few too many of these have started popping up.

Mine soaked the PCB a bit, seems I have been able to soak and dry up enough of it that the board has returned to normal. I am now just opening and checking regularly.

Had a similar situation over the weekend with a recurve on a pulse 80w. Seems that after squonking a wee bit too hard, juice collected in thw bottom row of airflow holes. Now when you do your next pull, this juice will be sucked in and hit the coil, no problem at all. Problem was that i like to first blow while firing up the coil, to sort of ramp it up a bit, before taking a puff. This lead to the juice being expelled from the bottom row of airflow holes, making it look like the RDA was leaking.

Sofar I haven't had any juice coming out the air holes from squonking to hard. All the juice is under the tank and on the 510 connector.
Last night when taking out the battery, I found juice inside the mod(not alot) around the battery area. First time this has happened and that is what made me create this thread.

That is odd. I have also had that happen once or twice (where i had juice inside the mod) wrote that off to over filling the bottle, and creating a small leak when i re-insert the bottle. So now i leave about a 5mm gap from the bottom of the black plastic bit when refilling.

Update:

Soaked tank in hot water to get the orings a bit softer.
Removed the squonking pin and made sure the oring is placed correctly before replacing the pin.
Pressing the bottle a bit softer when squonking (It's not a Xbox Controller button that needs to be abused)

No leaking :campeon:

I have to add after having the same buildup below mine, I realised nothing was at fault other than my own very bad habit of regularly taking off the entire topcap to check the wicks. You break the seal on the inside of the topcap, juice runs down while you take it off and eventually you press that juice down over the o-rings as put the topcap back.

E: Typo

Tried the recurve of a mates setup not long ago-really enjoyed the flavour.
Unfortunately I never get a chance to properly use it ofcourse.

I have however tried the drop solo for a few days and boy is the flavour on point!
I intend on getting one for my monark at vapecon.

When I get my hands on the USV Mach One I'll get the solo
