Voopoo has been on a roll the last couple of months and dishing out new hardware almost weekly! With the new Drag2 and Drag2 Platinum as well as the Drag Nano they also launched the new Drag Baby Trio kit which offers DL and MTL coils which is great. The Gene.Trio chip also intelligently adjusts the output voltage depending on the coil used meaning the device has no manual power settings.

Having used the device next to my bigger mods over the course of the last couple of days, I quite like this little but powerful device. Its so simple to use and offers great flavour in both DL and MTL. Battery life is great using the 1500mAh battery, which is built in, I easily managed a whole day of vaping without having to recharge. The Tank is built onto the device and does not seem to be removable making it impossible to use your own MTL RTA. However, I find that this tank with its coils will suffice offering great smooth draw and flavour. It’s a tiny device that works great daily when going out…just don’t loose it! Lol
Looks and aesthetics
Although the device is made from aluminium alloy and stainless steel, it almost feels plasticky as its super light. The build quality is excellent, and I cannot find any fault of issues in that department. Like usual the device has their signature resin on the one side and the DRAG logo on the other. I like how this time the DRAG word isn’t spread over the whole device but rather made smaller. The device feels great to hold in your hand and in your pocket as well.
Size? Is it really that small?
You bet ya! This thing is super small, I took a picture of it next to a box of matches next to the DRAG Nano Pod to show you all just how small this device is! This has to be the smallest vape currently out. I stand to be proven otherwise…lol
Vaping and user experience?
Simple and user friendly I must say! This vape gives users the best of both worlds using the same device with its Direct-to-Lung and Mouth-to-Lung PnP Coil capabilities. DL is great and you get to blow quite big clouds. Even though the draw is a little restrictive, you are still able to get deep long draws without getting dry hits. The MTL coil is much more restrictive as one would expect and offers great flavour with a good tight draw. I would say the MTL coil gives a similar draw to the Vaporesso Zero.
Flavour on this Tank?
Using both DL and MTL coils provided me with great flavour which I couldn’t find any issues with. After the coils are primed by just leaving them in the tank with some juice for around 5min, you get full flavour from the first puff which is great!
Direct to Lung (DL Coil – 0.6ohm)
The direct to lung coil provides great overall flavour on both fruity and bakery vapes. Draw is a little restrictive but that is to be expected from such small airflow holes and tank size. After a couple of chain vape draws, you start getting a little gargle but no spit back.
Mouth to Lung (MTL Coil – 1.2ohm)
Nice and restrictive draw which also works great together with the pipe type drip tip. Long MTL draws are possible without getting dry hits. Delivery is smooth and flavour is excellent. I used my usually Mint Choc 12mg Nic salt juice at 60/40 and worked great. Was the first time I actually get new notes from this juice when compared to other pods I use this juice in which is awesome.
Battery Life, Is it that good?
Let’s put it this way, I removed the device from the box and started using it and vaped on it like a normal person for about 2 and half days before needing to recharge. Now this obviously will depend on how much you vape; I don’t vape in my office so only walk out so probably vape on it around 6 times at work for 10min and then at home will take a puff here and there. So, I would easily say you will get 2 good days of average usage before requiring a charge. Once the LED turns blue you notice that vapour production is less and isnt as great as when the battery is on green.

- Easy PnP coils that is changeable within seconds
- Easy to use, no device settings. Pop in a coil and you’re ready to vape.
- Easy to understand Battery Life LED indicator
- Excellent battery size and life @ 1500mAh (Around 2 days normal usage)
- Spare tank glass included
- Non spill filling by pushing a bottle into the rubberized holes
- Non-intertangle tank, can only use the tank provided. Would have been great if other MTL RTAs could fit on as well.
- Screw off cap to fill juice, I think a slide open like the MAAT would have been excellent, but I think for the size of this tank…this was probably not possible.
- Tank thread seems a bit rough, when screwing the tank on an off it seems a little tight, I battled to get the tank unscrewed when trying to change a coil. (Perhaps I over tightened it) but the threads just don’t feel super smooth.
I love this device especially due to it providing me with DL and MTL not having to carry around two devices. It delivers great flavour and battery life and its size makes it an awesome device to carry around.
Would I buy one with my own hard-earned cash? Because of the DL and MTL capabilities and great flavor it’s a BIG YES!
