Waterproof board/chip

My two Rsq's had a few falls and plenty juice spills. Last week something went wrong somewhere, still havent figured out what, but for the last week everytime I press the power buttom, there is juice coming out. The button sits on the board and obviously everything is soaked with juice inside. It is getting less so nothing leaking inside anymore. But the Rsq with its waterproof board does not miss a beat, not even a short message.

This made me wonder. Since your bound to have leaks from time to time, why dont they waterproof all vape mod's boards? I am no expert but from google it seems pretty easy and cheap to waterproof a board/chip. Some guys even as simple as with clear nail polish

Dont know what is the technical reason behind manufacturers not water proofing mod chips, but I did water proof my Hcigar Aurora using Q30.
The mod was leaking so I opened it up, gave its chip a nice alcohol bath, fixed the leak and sprayed Q30 over it. Cant say if the waterproofing worked because it never leaked after the fix.

The reason they don't waterproof is probably to speed up the process of built in obsolescence/ continue the retail cycle.
9 out of 10 device users would most probably not replace a device until it's broken.

Everything is designed to fail. Apparently the very first lightbulb is still burning to this day but a confference was called between manufacturing companies to plan on how long it should last.

If it didnt break it wouldnt have to be replaced.

I usually get out the old hot glue gun and cover everything that needs to be watertight. Works a charm and lasts forever.
