VIK Cotton Group Buy

Good morning everyone
The list is growing and the totals are starting to scare me a little, lol.

As this is my first GB, please let me know if you agree with doing things the following way:
1) To avoid daily up-and downs for spot rates (R13.84 - $1.00 today), I want to fix the exchange rate in the sheet to R14.00 - $1.00
2) @Rob Fisher warned that we may be liable for VAT and other taxes. As the VAT rate is fixed, I am including the 15% VAT to everyone's total owed.
3) The delivery cost of $35 is split evenly between everyone, so each person will pay an equal share.
4) Payment to me is due before I place the final order, no cash, no cotton.
5) Once the order is placed and all final fees are fixed and determined (Exchange rate, taxes etc), I will reconcile the list of totals and I will either give/receive the balance to/from each member who collects in person and do an EFT either way for those who have to courier.

This seems the easiest and most stable way of doing it, or would you guys suggest something different?

You can put me down for:-

2 x 2,5mm
1 x scissor pack (2.5 mm)

I am in Durban and happy to pay the additional courier or if there are more Durbanites to piggy back with them and split the costs?

Perfect. Exactly what The guys suggested we do when I helped with a group buy. Only difference is that fees were split based on weight, heaviest pays the most. But with cotton I think there will not be a difference unless someone orders a couple of boxes. Looking forward to it happening and thank you in advance for the effort and willingness from your side, greatly appreciated.

No problem. You just let me know how much and monies will be transferred immediately.

Everyone involved at this point, are you comfortable with keeping this open until Sunday, then we close the list, get the money part sorted and then I will place the order once all payments have been received?

That’s fine by me. I’ll transfer my money as soon as I know what my damage is

Fine by me.
Even with the equal splitting of shipping - its $35 being split over more than 15 people, so no major issue that we all share the same costs if shipping stays that price.

It would be no more than that and most of the orders are very similar. As things stand, we are looking at R23.33 per person for shipping, which I think is pretty decent.

I agree with you, but it is a new company that are still trying to get more retailers to sell to.

I will send my courier. I can collect for @Humbolt he stays near me, that is once he confirms the order.
thanks dude. We can split the courier fees.
1 of 2,5mm 50pk
1 of 3mm 50pk

See, I made it before the deadline..

And the cost of courier in SA to door delivery?

Hi

2 x 3mm
1x 2.5mm box

thanks
NB: $35 dhl fee seems a bit low

Okay guys, calling it here. I will send payment details shortly.

Cool thanks. Will await your inbox message with payment details.
Inbox the payment details, but I think according to the rules of the forum for a group buy there needs to be a sheet posted on the thread with the amount and the breakdown for it.
