Looks and aesthetics

The Exilis pod looks great with a really good and thick paint job that looks either enamel or powder coated which will seems that it will provide a long-lasting finish without much paint chipping off. The device has the fire button located in the middle of the pod on the one side and the Snowwolf logo that stands out and looks to be machined on the other side as well as on the side of the pod which I think looks great. On the bottom of the pod there is placed to hook the lanyard which I would have preferred to be on the side. With the lanyard connected and hanging from your neck, the pod hangs upside down and might cause e-liquid to drip from the visible coil through the chimney/airway.

The pods aren’t held in place by magnets and seems to be held in place by to bevelled rows situated on the pod which then presses again the sides of the pods inside. The inside of the pod has two nice pins for good connectivity on the pod.

The pod shape seems to almost look like lips, and it feels really comfortable vaping from the pod. The pod is a little long and almost fills the total length of my mouth, but it feels good none the less.

Vaping and user experience?

Ok so as marketed as an MTL and DL pod, I do not agree. I tested both coils just to confirm and MTL vaping, although not impossible is a very very loose draw. The only time I am almost able to get a satisfactory MTL draw is by blocking the two airflow holes located on the side of the pod device. For a slightly restricted DL device, it works great, but I then also find that you end up with some e-liquid in your mouth while vaping. While vaping on the unit, you do get some slight irritating whistling.

The pod although heavy, feels really solid and is comfortable to walk around with in your pocket as its nice and thin. Due to the rounded bottom part of the pod where the lanyard connects, the pod has no way of standing upright and will have to lie on its side when not being used which is also a little bummer as I like having my devices stand up right.

Flavour & usability on this pod?

Although this pod does not use newer fancy mesh or ceramic coils, the pod provides good flavour and cannot fault the flavour side. The coils are rebuildable which I absolutely love but its small so it might take some practice with 32g wire to get right. I did not try and rebuild the coils as I do not have such thin coil wire but will attempt it in future.

While using the pod I did notice some liquid condensation or tiny drops of liquid on the bottom of the pod when you remove if from the device

Battery Life, Is it that good?

The device is fitted with a 980maH internal battery which provides a decent capacity and provides good battery life. Sigelei claims that the battery life is better due to the chip used in this device which should give you around 1 and half days of vaping. I used the pod in between my normal daily setup and manged around 2 days with ease

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty! The want to hears and the not’s!

My Pro's
  • Rebuildable coils – Love this!
  • Excellent flavour
  • Excellent battery life from the 980mAh battery
  • Big size juice capacity
  • Decent juice consumption, Not a guzzler
  • Charges quick
  • Great pod mouth feel and design
  • Easy filling with rubber seal
My Cons's
  • Slight spit back or liquid ending up in your mouth when vaping DL style
  • MTL is very loose, this is rather a restricted DL device only I would say
  • A little heavy and big for a pod device
  • Slight high pitch whistle when vaping from the air holes
  • Slight liquid condensation on bottom of pod when removed from device.
Conclusion?
This is a difficult one for me because its such a nice device and it offers such great flavor with the option of rebuilding your own coils but this pod to me has some cons that i really do not like. I dont mind using the pod as a DL device, it really works well but then ending up with some liquid in your mouth (not much, probably like a drop or due) isnt lekke. The whisling pod was the first thing i noticed as well and it could be the air holes that has a slight edge causing this but i hate a noisy vape.

Would I buy one with my own hard-earned cash? Probably not
