Vape King SA - Retailer Reviews

Should I start a proper feedback thread for salt Vs freebase perhaps?
You can. Include some more knowledgeable people than myself though. I only know the basics thereof, not the composition or the exact details of wh you should not vape it over 25W (something to do with how it breaks down), etc.

Salts are very very expensive is it worth it?
Definitely worth it if you want to vape high levels of nicotine. Personally, anything higher than 12mg you should use salts, but there are many people who MTL freebase at 18mg. The main reason is that salts stay smooth with higher nicotine content juices, hence why you can vape something like a 50mg juice.

Question? I searched the forum for a proper salt Vs freebase discussion but nogo nothing found. I used 24mg premix to cut down as needed until now. Now dyi 100mg freebase that I can also cut down as needed mixing my own. Salts are the new rave here in AU too but also causes lots of confusion, just like this one, to newbies getting hit like a train smash not knowing better. Should I start a proper feedback thread for salt Vs freebase perhaps? My understanding it's a completely different way of vaping I get that but also cost wise. Salts are very very expensive is it worth it?

Not too different. Low wattage MTL, sort of like old style E-cigs. Salts are absorbed faster when they hit the lungs than freebase, but you need to get them there slowly and without much heat or you’ll know what just happened... Use gently and there’s little throat hit compared to, say, 9mg freebase.

Are they worth it? For a recently reformed smoker, I think so. Although salt nic is expensive, you’re not going to use much. I usually use between 0.5 and 1ml a day, tops.

If I may throw a curve ball here. This post speaks of a bigger problem I feel.

This guy joined this forum today, and only made this one "daming " post and that's it.

I question whether this practise should be allowed by the moderators where new forum members have the ability and, "Carte Blanche", to post something like this within minutes of joining the forum and as their first post, without some sort of sanction.

In similar fashion how many new guys have joined and their first post is "I need juice or I need something and I don't have money"

Surely there should be some kind of restriction where a new member has limited access to certain threads until they have built up some kind of repor.

Let's be honest this post has left the supporting vendor completely with their backs against the wall now having to defend themselves on a public forum.

As much as I do understand this forum is for the community and the vapers primiraly, I also do feel the moderators should also be looking after the vendors interests that are registered on here to.

I fully agree, it is in bad taste of the person posting, due to lockdown and current ban I am sure Vape King does not sell the product currently so I also have to play the Devil's advocate here and ask, when was it bought? And then Woolworths does not take returns on underwear either so not sure what is trying to be proved here by the OP. I have yet to receive bad service from them. Maybe a sour Hufflepuffer?;)

If I may... There have been a few posts/complaints like this. To be honest the guys hardly stays active on the forum afterwords.
You do have a valid point with the first post restrictions. I have also made a recommendation like that before, but I think it's better in their own thread than in the newbie thread.

Other thing is this...don't worry we got your back!

That I do know.

The point is this is allowed to happen and the vendors, or individuals, have no way to stop it.

Anybody who has "sour grapes", or a vendetta, can join here and post targeted slander at a vendor, or person, right off the bat.
That to me is just wrong.

Surely there needs to be some form of control.

I didn't want to elude to this (your last comment) but yip that's exactly what I was thinking at the time.

Anyway let me not derail this thread.

100% correct. Wattage is important when using salts, one should preferably never go over 25W. But even if you do 15W with 25mg Freebase, unless you are used to high mg nic in freebase form, although even then but to a lesser degree, 25mg will be quite the throat hit. 50mg.... Well, I do not even want to imagine. :flamethrower2: But instead of a flamethrower, it will be your throat.
LOL. I have been smoking 18 mg freebase as high as 55 - 60 watts and not a problem for me. Only when I've had a couple of drags and maybe the cotton and coil start retaining heat.

This is the social media age. A business can freely market to anyone, and anyone can leave an opinion good or bad for everyone else to see. It's a double edged sword.

I think the comments in this thread are a great example, I have certainly gained a better understanding of Nic Salts in the process.

Agree with Alex... its the new age and with Social media and digital platforms so widely available for anyone to use. ( right/left or wrong ). You will find it in many form and application...
So as a business and or individual, especially ones making use of these platforms, you need to accept that you will be dealing with negative/positive as well as positive/negative, knowledgeable and just plain stupid or opinionated challenges/people/comments and more.
To name but one or two... Facebook and Hello Peter.
Best you gear your business to react to such in a proactive manner or be slaughtered if you cannot roll with the punches.
Is it wrong ?
Who cares... its not going to go away. ( not saying I agree, just a reality check )
And then we will always have the " activists/believers and supporters " bless their souls ", that will fight the course with or for you...

SAFE THE BUNNIES, SAVE THE BUNNIES .... :imwithstupid::angryyell::hum::ole:

My 2 cents for what it's worth. Apologies for derail this touches on something ok. I agree that publicly humiliating or attacking a perhaps innocent vendor or fellow member on the forum is not ok. As mentioned could even be the huffpuffs scam Klan who knows. But group dynamics work! It's one of the great things on this very active public forum. It's even googled just check. A vendetta is quickly sniffed out and dealt with. Publicly. Right there and then done we move on. The flipside is this. Allow me to explain. A few quite big vaping Facebook groups exist in AU. Not only do you have to complete a massive application form to be reviewed and let in. Each and every new post is also approved by a huge admin and moderator team. You can leave comments only without passing the inquisition team. Talk about hitting a nail with a bulldozer never mind a sledge hammer. I kid you not the Gestapo and KGB would be envious and could take lessons off this lot. It also now explains Greg Hunts burocratic vape ban and how it's implemented this is endemic behaviour. So some absolute control freak who might be having a bad day and not agree 100% with the content of your new post decides first. Clearly a kindy for triggered safe space snowflakes created and the hawks not only guard 24/7 for new posts but posts just disappear deleted if one subject comments may, in admin/moderator view only, go in any way off track from their view of what group think should be. My apologies it's a lengthy comment I know. But remember. Be very careful what you wish for you might get a helluva lot more than you bargained for. Trust group dynamics in the long run it works 100%. Especially on a very active forum like this. BTW why bother on a group like that? Coupon codes and vendor specials still allowed. It's usefull.

Although I do agree that newbies shouldn't be like that.

It's always awesome to see the community backing each other, and for the right reasons!

I’ve no idea why valued contributors are apologising for derailing this thread. It went off the rails in the first line.

The community support is a pleasure to see. Vapers’ ubuntu in action.

But If a newbie come and post a negative thread on a vendor, and later a Moderator delete the thread, then everyone that read the thread will think that vendors are protected and money talks?

I say we take it at face value.

1st time poster complains. a Couple of us ask the poster valid questions in order to try and assist. 1st Time poster does not respond to questions. This to me equates to someone just trying to tarnish the vendor's name.

Just my 2c

Agree, rather let us the public be able to respond, as we have. So people can view the whole story and decide who is the twit.

If you have come here just to complain on your first post ever, then good for you... you have managed to get your word out.. but at least read the rest of the thread and respond if someone asks you a question, that would be great too, dont keep it one-sided. If your local vape shop does not have your regular Nic Salts and you want to try something new, it rocks up after waiting 2 days for it and you dont like it... so be it, we all had that before, you might even get a "bad" batch of your regular juice...

As for Vape King, I love them, had an issue with a faulty device once, was the only buyer that had this problem, they suggested i go to the manufacturer direct, which I did, got a replacement directly from manufacturer without defects... problem solved... if Vape King replaced it I might have gotten another faulty one as the batch could have been faulty too... so win win... and I have placed quite a couple more orders with them (got one this week)...

If you are brand new to vaping, maybe you should go to your local vape shop first if you are unsure about a juice, let someone else try it before you go off your rocker about it... then if it is a unanimous problem, address it with Vape King with the understanding that they wont take the juice back and they can only go on what they receive from the manufacturers/distributors. If nobody else complained about the juice, maybe it was just that one bottle. But with so much juice going around the world, someone is bound to hit a miss somewhere. If you dont like the juice, go buy a new bottle. The local convenience store at the filling station is not going to take your open bottle of soda back if you dont like the amount of gas the manufacturer put in it...

Here's an option... make your own juice and see if your first batch comes out perfect...

I think all the responses on this thread was awesome!

ps: We love the keyboard warriors too!

When has a mod done that ever?

To my fellow forumites:

OIP.jpg

I personally dealt with this query, we do not do returns on liquids for various reasons. I also happen to know the manufacturer of this liquid extremely well and we have dealt with them for years, I know that they use salts for all the liquids in the range and not freebase even for the 3mg and 6mg.

The customer was looking for a specific ingredient on the label which is nicotine salicylate, just to be sure I checked every single nic salt that we stock and not one of them list nicotine salicylate on the label. Did some more research into this before responding again just to be sure and explained to the customer how nic salts work.

Just as some interesting facts for you all incase anyone else wants to jump on the train:

NicSalt (Nicotine Salts) does not have 1 version it has infact more

there is
NicSalt-M (Malate Salt)
NicSalt-L (Lactate Salt)
NicSalt-LL (Levulinate Salt)
NicSalt-B (Benzoate Salt)
NicSalt-D (Ditartrate Salt)
NicSalt-S (Salicylate Salt)

NicSalt-M is great for Fruits and citrus flavours however dramatically reduces coil life so many manufactures avoid using it
NicSalt-L was highly appreciated in our test panels with a good balance for smoothness and nicotine hit whilst having a minimal throat hit compared to other salts however not what our customers are looking for from Nicsalts so we generally wont stock it
NicSalt-LL is great for Dairy flavours however when used in such flavours has a short shelf life which makes it rather hard to stock as we cant guarantee that we will sell all the stock so we avoid it aswell
NicSalt-B Nicotine benzoate was one of the first nicotine salt to hit the mass market helping to create the nicotine salt buzz. Our test panels noted that it was very smooth to vape while offering a rapid and notable nicotine hit and the most accessable nicsalt version that can be found on the market, we stock it (alot)
NicSalt-D Our test panels found nicotine detartrate to be extremely smooth combined with a full-on nicotine rush that was noted as the quickest, most potent and closest to “cigarette like” nicotine uptake and hit however is not used by alot of manufactures sadly
NicSalt-S Our test panels found nicotine salicylate to be the smoothest vape experience with a “coolness” to the vape. Little or no flavour changes were reported and nicotine delivery (some noted a chemical taste) was reported to be strong without being overbearing yet without any harsh throat hit however once more sadly not alot of manufactures use it in their liquids.

Being a newbie I accept I am probably doing tones wrong. I am playing with settings and have buggered up some OEM pre built coils by burning them. This Vaping isn't as simple as lighting a Fag up and smoking it. I accept I am learning and will screw up settings etc. But will ask for help and advice before saying what I am using is not up to standard. The problem with lockdown I think is somethings are difficult to sort out when you can't directly go into a shop and discuss things in person to sort it out. Causing frustration probably from both sides. It is not a easy situation we are living through. We may be need to take into account the situation as it is at the moment. One vendor I wanted to by from wouldn't respond to my queries. Got him to contact me by placing an order but not paying for it. Then I was contacted to find out what was going on then I submitted my query also explaining that it is nerve wraking to want to buy something from someone that doesn't respond to telephones or emails or web queries. Not sure if I was feed a line but he had personal problems that I found acceptable. But it doesn't make it easy.

When has a mod done that ever?
I don't think he says that has been done, I believe he wanted to say that if it was to be done, it would create the impression of.

This so reminds me of a review I saw on an air fryer. Bunch of 25 year olds bought a bag of frozen chips, put them in the air fryer and walked away to play on their phones for 30 minutes.

They then slated that air fryer saying it burnt the chips on the top and under cooked the ones on the bottom. They then went on to comment that those chips could never be like the ones their Mom made.

That to me sums up this situation as well
