Hi Everyone

I'm currently using a Smoant Pasito but its on its final laps as its been in daily use for over a year, need to hit the fire button like 12 times before it decides whether it wants to fire or not, but it did a great job at providing me with a restrictive draw and been rebuildable.

I did check and there is one or two places which still has stock of the Pasito but for the same price it was when it came out which I dont think is worth it as there is so much more that has come out since then and if I'm not mistaken the Pasito 2 is launching as well.

So I need some advise as to which is the best MTL device with a restrictive draw that has an RBA, there's plenty of pod systems available but I have seen some cons where the draw cannot be adjusted or its a bit loose for MTL vaping, I will only be using it for MTL and not DL as I have my RDA's for DL. Should I also maybe consider buying a single battery mod and an MTL RTA rather? whats your thoughts?

If you use it because of the portability and size, I would suggest looking for another pod system again. That said, my advice would be to find a nice compact mod with a rebuildable MTL RTA, It's going to give you more options with regards to build and draw. But size will be bigger than the pod systems currently available on the market.

Single Battery Mods to consider:

Voporesso Gen Nano (Built in battery)

Just to give you an idea of what is available. There are PLENTY more available currently, but i'll probably spend the entire day just updating the list for the mods. give it a Google or give a visit to your local vape shop.

Thank you the reply appreciate it, I was looking at the Single battery mod and MTL RTA option as I'm not to concerned about size main concern is getting a tight enough draw. I was looking at the berserker v1.5 or I see there is now even a berserker v2, any recommendation on which MTL RTA's to look at?

In my current rotation I have the Hellvape MD (Decent flavour, not the tightest draw), Berserker v2 (Excellent flavour, decent tight draw, very customizable on the draw) Expromizer v4 (Amazing flavour, very quiet draw, tight draw - one hole, but prefer it a little looser for better flavour - 3 holes) and the Vapefly Galaxies RDTA (Decent flavour and customizable on the draw)

Then ones that I have not tried myself, but come highly recommended by fellow forumites (@Grand Guru , @Silver , @BioHAZarD, @KZOR , @Timwis , @Christos, @Scouse45 )

Steamcrave Glaz
Pioneer
Ares v2
Fumytech Rose
Mulan

They can give you a much broader perspective than I can.

Im also considering buying a pod that does pre built coil and rta too and was pointed to this device that does both. our veteran reviewer @Timwis pointed me to this. it's the vandy vape kylin m aio. might want to consider this as well.

im surprised how popular the istick pico 75w and istick pico x still are their prices have not come down yet. I've used that for 3 years and it's still a great little device. im using the vaporesso swag 2 now and it's an awesome little device. was a good buy changing from istick pico to swag 2. if your going to do bigger rda or rdta atties i suggest a dual battery mod from advice I've been given. i bought a geekvape aegis max for doing bigger rdta tanks. for now the swag 2 is just too good to change over to using my bigger rdta tanks yet. looking at all the reviews and advice given here i bought a wotofo profile rdta, zeus x rda, Zeus x mesh and kylin m rdta tanks still to be used.

If you can find an Innokin Adept kit, it's phenomenal. The Zlide tank it comes with is the best MTL tank (pre-built coils) around, bar none. I find it better than any MTL RTA or RDA I've tried so far.

I’ve heard a lot about the Zlide but how long are these coils going to be available on the market. That’s always the problem with subohm tanks...

I looked at the Kylin M AIO and it looks great and has plenty of features although it doesnt look to be directed towards MTL more towards DL from the review I watched.

At the moment I'm leaning towards the Berserker v2 paired with the smallest single battery mod I can find which currently seems like the Armour pro or the Swag 2. Mainly looking for external battery mods because if the battery dies can just replace it don't have to throw the whole mod away.

I have my Noisy v2 for clouds and my reload for flavour, but I find my self MTL vaping 95% of the time so will probably sell the reload soon too and just keep my Noisy and RDA for when I want to DL.

Geekvap Aigis solo or mini with Ammit MTL is a great small setup and mod is super durable.

I must say lately the options when it comes to mtl tanks are jus incredible and very well priced. I hav tried as many as I can get my hands on and at the moment my 3 tops are the expromizer v4, pioneer and ether rta. Expro stays more at home with me as it’s big bigger then the others but the airflow and smoothness is unmatched. I love my pioneer, so well machined and smooth airflow with great flavour. Been most surprised by the ether rta I just keep using it and the flavour and ease of use is incredible.

Other brilliant mtl tanks include the hellvape MD, and definitely the berserker v2... u can not go wrong with any of these at all. The glaz mini and brunhilde I hav heard brilliant things from @Christos and @JurgensSt and I have tried the glaz it’s fantastic. That gives u at least 7 excellent options

As for mods @Dela Rey Steyn has nailed it with his choice of mods, I run 3 swag 2 mods, 1 gen nano and my trusty cube. Just ease of use, size and comfortability and performance. So many great options you can not go wrong.

My Advice is to keep your Reload or anything that you really like right now, I made the mistake twice, I went from DL to MTL for like 8 months and sold most of my DL Atties but came back to DL and had to buy a whole bunch of new stuff, then thought I would never go back to MTL again, sold my MTL stuff and now I'm back and had to buy new MTL Stuff.
:facepalm::rofl:

Twice i have had the Fumytech Rose ordered only to get an email a couple of days later saying there was a mistake and there is no stock (2 different vendors as well) but will get it one day even if i have to come to South Africa and distract Silver for a minute lol! The Ares V2 i have but haven't had chance to try and a couple of other shouts is the Pure based on what i have heard and Purity Plus which is what i chose in place of the Rose on one of the occasions. The top 3 for me are so closely matched it can change from build to build, a fortnight ago my top 5 was:

Glaz Mini
Expromizer V4
Pioneer
Berserker V2
Purity Plus

But at present has changed to:

Pioneer
Glaz Mini
Expromizer V4
Berserker V2
Purity Plus

Second the Innokin.
Zlide and Zenith
Second the berserker, bit v1 I have no clue about the V2.
There's also galaxies. No experience ,but it has a great following.
Check out the @FreeMax twister 30. I like it flavour and draw is brilliant.
Also a Dwarv 16 is sweet.
Hope you get sorted.

Hav u tried the ether rta yet?

Thanks for the tag @Dela Rey Steyn

@Allister , my vote for MTL RTA would be the Rose MTL
Superb flavour, decent capacity (3ml) , easy to build and wick - and lovely tight airflow
Am loving it for tobaccoes. Been using it daily for a few yrs now

also testing out the expromiser V4 and it’s good - I just haven’t dialed it in perfectly yet

best Tobacco MTL Device for me though is the Reo/RM2 but they have been discontinued.
Reo is a mech squonker and RM2 is a RDA, so action is happening very close to the mouth

So just wanted say Thank You to everyone for their feedback on this thread:thumbup:.

It turns out finding a Berserker v2 rta and Swag 2 second hand is virtually impossible, nobody wants to get rid of theirs

So I ordered the RTA online and then on Saturday went to a Vape shop and bought the Swag 2, setup below:

Really enjoying the setup so far, great size, replaceable battery, great flavour and best part is the customizability regarding the Airflow.

I was curious to know how do other Berserker v2 rta users use theirs, as I have watched some reviews where people suggested to keep the airflow ring wide open and only adjust using the inside adapters until you find your sweet spot and use the airflow ring to make minor adjustments, or does it not really matter?

Awesome little setup you have their bud, congrats! as for the airflow, it's solid advice that you have there. I mostly start at the most restrictive the atty can offer and work from there as that is generally where I'm happy.
