A friend of mine has built a test rig that can suck a mod for a fixed period at a fixed vacuum, whilst monitoring the output vape with a spectrometer.
He's checking vape density / micro components as well as monitoring the chamber temp with a tiny thermocoule inserted into the tank, and the idea is to either prove or dispel the hype about various coils.
1]We need to find out what the average "suck"/ pull / vape time is in seconds
2]at what power level(s)
3]whether it was DL, RDL or MTL to "calibrate" the density / flavour argument as well.
Would love to have your input on this please ?

I'll kick this off :
1 - normally 5-6 secs
2- 36-45 degrees - depend on the tank
3- dl all the time

2-5 secs depending on wattage, nic level, salts or freebase, DL or MTL
10-40W, again depending
Both.

Edit: this is going to be very interesting. I'd love to see pictures or, even better, a clip of the finished rig and operation.

2-3 seconds
40-50W
RDL

It would appear that there is an early trend regarding seconds and wattage. Low W = longer draw. Higher W = shorter draw. It would be interesting to see if this is confirmed after more inputs.

Here it is

4-6s
45W (Single Coil Framed Staple Clapton)
DL

4-6s
90W (Dual Coil Framed Staple Claptons)
DL

2-3 secs
15-22W
Around 0.8ohm fused Clapton coil
MTL

DL
2-4 sec
0.3 ohm
45-50w dual coil
35-38w single coil

MTL
5-6sec
0.8-1 ohm
15-18w (whatever the mech pushes out)

Tell friendo I send greetings.
MTL 1-8 second s depending on Nic, watage and airflow.
7-30w in correlation with above info.
The more restrictive the longer the puff.

DL 35-65w
And from 3-8 seconds also
An occasional 80w now and then on 1-3 seconds
