Import waiting period

Hi brothers and sisters...

Im curious to know how long do you wait when importing from a different country.

Im looking to import some Russian mechs but would like to hear some feedback from those who have imported vape gear in the past.

Please declare your item/s, waiting period, from where it came and add some pics to show off.

On Two Vaporesso Warrantee Claims I have never received them, on prizes I have won Six weeks is about the fastest and average two months or longer.
One item was sent with DHL and that was quite quick but DHL had to contact me to give them the manifesto of the package to hasten the Customs Clearance. (About 3 Weeks if I remember correctly.) Depending on the list of contents the supplier puts on the package the import duty you pay to the post office on collection varies a lot when it doesn't go through a courier company.

Any item from overseas POSTED that ends up in the Post Office system can take anywhere from 1 month to over six months! Yesterday I got two replacement tanks that were shipped over six months ago from France. Last month drip tips sent from Germany took five months!

And with all this, there might be a chance your stuff gets stolen or lost.

That's amazing @Hooked! But after my last two international shipments going to the SAPO taking 5 and 6+ months respectively I will NEVER again ship any way other than with an end to end courier.

Noob question : what is end to end courier? So ull never ship something from overseas again due to the waiting times?

They pick up at one end and deliver at the other end, you pay them only for courier and customs, no 3rd, 4th of 5th party involved, single point of entry for all queries and tracking.

I hear on here about the terrible performance of SAPO but as far as ridiculous values and vaping devices being described as metal tubes or pipes is common and the shit hits the fan often whether that's South Africa, the UK or I imagine most countries. The times I have been sent 2 "metal tubes", valued at $5 that have ended up costing me £40+ due to tax and fees after inspection when the items might only be a simple pod system with a pack of coils which would only cost £25 to buy!
