I have tried many many different kinds of cotton... Mavaton X is excellent but is a hassle to work with... Cloud 9 is also great but the quantity in the tin seems to be way less than what you get with other tins of cotton. Some of the kinds of cotton I have tried are absolutely horrible. From the ease of use and flavour, nothing beats TFC Elite for me.

Also love the TFC cotton. Have a bit of Firebolt too for those times I need to rewick in a hurry. But TFC works the best for me. Splitting the cotton fits perfect in 2.5mm and 3mm coils. Both in RDAs and RTAs.

There are so many things to try out with vaping
Devices, styles of vaping, coils, juices .... and different types of wick

@Rob Fisher i know you have tried many different wicks. And the good thing is you have probably tried most if not all of them with the same juice (XXX) and many of them in the identical setup. So you are able to make a great comparison, all else equal.

I have some TFC and you will think I am a goose for not trying it yet. I will get there, hopefully soon.

So far I have worked out that for my tastes I enjoy the following:

Rayon for low power restricted lung fruity ice Vapes - makes the vape crisper for me (Lemo1, Subtank Mini). I think Rayon has slower wicking than other wicks so it’s more suitable for these lower power setups. Rayon has to be packed very tight because it contracts a bit when wet, unlike cotton, which expands.

Cotton Bacon V2 for tobaccoes and desserty type juices - I find it brings out the earthiness in the tobaccoes and makes it a more rounded taste. Wicks well for my setups and easy to use.

Royal wicks for a bit more powerful fruity ice Vapes - in the Skyline for example. @Rob Fisher introduced me to this wick and I like it a lot. Almost finished with it, so will probably try TFC in this setup next.

I have tried a few others but have settled on the above for almost all my vaping. Occasionally I still use the Koh-Gen-Do (Japanese cotton) pads for tobaccoes, also very good, similar to CB2 but you need to remove the outer layers of the pad to get the fluffy part inside. Still have many of those from the early days.

I mainly do desserts and tobaccos so CBV2 should meet my needs for 3 weeks until I run out :D

@Christos, I assume you have tried TFC with tobaccoes and desserts?
If so, when you use the CB2 now, let us know how it compares and if you can pick up any differences on juices you know well

    Had to rewick the Hadaly

Finally testing the TFC Elite wick
    Tagging @Rob Fisher

I have the old tin packaging. Nice tin. Wick is easy to work with.

So far so good. Am vaping Havana Gold 6mg which I know reasonably well.

Am vaping at about 25-30W. So it’s low to moderate power. Single Clapton coil at 1 ohm.

It’s good. Nice taste. Can’t say any noticeable difference to Cotton Bacon V2 yet. But it’s early days. Will continue and report back in time.

Update - Day two in the Hadaly...

The TFC Elite is still doing very well.
Still I cannot notice a difference to Cotton Bacon V2, but that means it’s very good.

    Will continue on

Am using tobaccoes on this wick. Havana Gold and more of a desserty one now - Thrifty Clouds’ Golden Virginia Custard. On both I am getting the good flavour I know from these juices

I also have a Tin of TFC Elite, but I only occasionally use it when I feel like having a fruity or menthol/cool juice. I still stick to CB v2 for my Tobacco's and desserts.

I only use TFC on all my RDA's. Cottons nowadays are of such a standard that there's little difference between them.

But what stands out for me of TFC is the ease of wicking and how long a wick lasts. Currently running the Recurve single on my desserts, bakery and creams mod for 10 days now. Coil needs some serious cleaning but the wick is still good for another few days. No spitback at all and it survived the odd dry hit.
