hi. this is sad. i was really hoping we could get this thing going again.
But if everyone else wants to abort, who am i to argue.
but, i will be the fly in the oitnment, and would like my money back. thats halway to a Hana mod at least.

That is perfectly ok....and if anyone wants to change their minds about the money before we finalize, no one will hold it against you for sure - it is your money after all.

What a pity! Would have been something SA and the forum community could be proud of. I will go with the majority vote.

Pity the proposals for a fully mech Rhino never took off. That would have freed us from the constraints of the DNA30.

What a fail...

Perhaps we could go full mech, what do the guys who are gonna do the sketch up and build say?

If someone is keen on picking up the reigns, I'm all for continuing. I unfortunately do not have the skills or time at the moment. I would love to see the Rhino realized, whether in mech or DNA30 form.

The majority have only spoken because there isn't anyone to carry the torch so to speak! If there is any light at the end of this tunnel then I’m happy to wait and to support the project as long as it takes.

What needs to be done going forward?
That's if it does continue.

Our experience thus far have shown that if there is not someone actively managing and driving such a project, nothing substantially happens. This will take a lot of time, effort and committment from an individual or two - with no monetary reward. We cannot take money from people and not deliver. I think aborting this project is sad, but prudent.

So how far has the process reached then?
Any final designs? What connectors are being used? Battery size, etc?

I agree with @Andre and right at the beginning I asked that someone should step forward as "project manager" nobody came forward. A project needs a leader to manage a team, without it nothing will happen.

To answer your question @MurderDoll; components need to be ordered from suppliers and quotes are required for machining of the existing drawings. Assembly is the easy part. Bill of materials and relevant suppliers of each already exist.

I also think it was a bit of a logistics issue with no one knowing who, what or how to buy stuff.
