If you Google the box for more info/reviews please make sure you search the right box this is the one with the RK3399 chipset . There is a cheaper variant which runs a RK3328 chipset.

Hi, No it doesn't.
There are very few boxes that run DSTV as the system has to be Android based. Many like this one run a Android OS but are not actually android systems.

I have heard talks though that DSTV is gonna scrap the whole DSTV now system as they are catching on that multiple people are using one Sub .

That application is 50% the reason I'd buy a new Android box (the other being Stremio). There's a big debate regarding that currently. A friend that works for the streaming division of Multichoice has mentioned that there will repercussions and maybe even a customer revolt should they cancel.

Personally, I don't it'll happen.

Only maintained my dstv account for football, everything else was streamed. Then I discovered redbox tv, installed that. Dstv has been out of my life for ages, thankfully.

Yip I cut the cord 3 months ago after finally getting Fibre in my area.
Best thing ever I no longer need to be fead rubbish that the networks throw at me.
50% of the time when I had cable I would just put on something not because I wanna watch it but because it was the best out of all the garbage they were showing.

If the guys at DSTV were clever they would wake up and start releasing individual packages to customize what you want to pay for and watch.

I was paying for Kyk Net.... WTF , they you get all the international News channels.... why am I paying for those when I dont speak any of those languages .
I cant remember all the channels now but you get my point.

If I were them I would still offer the current packages and also offer customization so if you want just sports them offer a super sport package or Movies then have a Movie Magic package and charge for them accordingly.
