Vape King Fenrir BF Stabilized Wood Mod V2

While I was in JHB at the last vape meet I popped into VK Fourways and this little gem caught my eye... A stabilised wood squonker for under a grand! I asked for a look see not expecting it to end up going home with me... I looked for issues and especially door fit and any rattles... there were none. The squonk bottle is soft and works just fine... I was expecting to replace it with one of my fancy bottles but didn't need to!

The wood was a little dry but a bit of coconut oil and the wood sparkled!

With all these overpriced 3D squonkers around this appealed to me and when I saw the door fit I was sold.

Filled the bottle tonight and popped my Ti Flave 22 on top and bingo! I must say this is really good value for money and it has surprised me. So far so good and no leaks and working like gangbusters.

Good buy! Not sure how @Gizmo hasn't sold out. My only negative is the button isn't 100% matchy matchy.

@Rob Fisher is the VapeKing logo on the side etched or engraved on?
I dont like the VapeKing logo being so big and prominent so if its etched a light sanding shoud get rid of it.

If its engraved on thats probably the reason why they haven't sold out.

Surely got my attention when i looked at it in the westrand branch. I might just put it on my christmas list of vape gear. + alot of other stuff.

This is the exact reason why I opted for the other one that they also sell. (slightly rounded - unbelieveable hand feel)
I don't like the round holes on mine but I went for round holes over a VK logo. I don't like that kind of branding.

When I first got it the wood was dry and so I too used coconut oil to shine it up.
My door panel doesn't match AT ALL. So I made a glow in the dark resin replacement and a matchy button.
My original button does match.
My door was super flush initially but this is not stabwood IMO. It's stained wood. Stabwood is a very broad term. So with oils and lots of juice inside the mod it has swollen - The door is still super snug but there's a fat warping gap... Yuck. The second picture I posted was the first day I used it for squonking, So not much of a gap there. The last picture is about 1 weeks worth of squonking.

I know they aren't the same mods but I'm sure they are very similar and have borderline identical internals.

Would I reccomend it? Hell yeah! I just wouldn't buy another one online. It's definitely a see for yourself product.

Had mine about 2 weeks now and only started using it yesterday... and so far I'm really happy with it.

This is my first mech. I went for this because I was always terrified of a tube mech turning into a pipe bomb. If the battery vents and you're not holding the door side I think you'll be fine. Even with thermal runaway. Don't quote me on that and please don't prove me wrong and scare me away from my new toy.
