Thanks @TheV will ask the wife, actually for her to put the merlin mini rta on a mini volt would be champ for her, thinking a single 18650 mod would be better though.

I have the 22mm Kodama version and I absolutely love it:

I think that 24mm will be perfect for the Merlin Mini.
I also have a Mini Volt. The Merlin Mini will have an overhang ... and the battery won't last that long.
Single 18650 will be a better option.
