Good Morning Guys.
This week I experienced a strange thing. My normal build on my mods are sub ohm. After about a half bottle of juice I normally swap batteries. I noticed like arc marks on the positive poles of my Sony Vtc 5 batteries. I immediately start to investigate. First off, I clean my mods and contacts on a regular basis and use my nolax grease. After some intence googling and a chat on Reo forums I came to the following conclusion. The materials use in the positive poles of the VTC5 tend to cause this arc effect even if you build higher ohms. I checked all my LG HG2 batteries and everything were normal. The guys also recommend to use button top batteries if you can't get hold of decent Browns. Button tops is hard to find here. I hope this can help someone.

I have always used button top AW's in my REO Grands... the P67 is fine with flat tops. I have to import my button top AW's from the US.

I use Samsung flat tops.

I was getting arcing marks when I was building 0.3ohm coils (using grease applied daily).

Now that I'm building 0.5-0.7 ohm coils, no arcing marks.

Yip, when I had some VTC's in rotation they had the same problem. Used those block nail buffers to restore them.

I have already stolen my wife's cotton scissors, her measuring spoons, her storage boxes, and her nail polish remover.

She is going to be so pissed when she can't find her nail buffer now :(

Lol.... I cracked up the other day, my wife ran out of cottonwool, so she comes to her manly man, where she knew she could get some :D

Watch out, soo she will insist on Cotton Bacon V2 to clean her nails because it's just so much more absorbant! XD

Have somewhere over 100 batt's and all of them but 22 high mAh/high drain 18650 FT's are AW IMR BT's. I believed the hype about BT batt's in metal Reos at first since Robert O'Neil himself recommended BT, using Noalox on their contacts. But I disagreed and have used whatever batts was charged up since in my Reos, BT or FT. And the last thing I'd ever do is take an abrasive anything to the contacts on any of my Reos. If you keep the contacts in the correct position, clean and occasionally treated, don't mash fire buttons there is not much of a problem with arching even with low sub ohm builds. I already had experience with Noalox before I got my first Reos, so I knew better than to use grease on their contacts. Instead I bought bottles of DeoxIT D100L and G100L to use when I rarely have to treat their contacts or the batts at all. My Reos also rarely get what you call pit stops because they simply don't need them.
