Item wanted:Any RTA compatible with my MVP (5v,11w max)

Price Preference:The cheaper the better but I am a reasonable man

Condition:Working,any aesthetic damage does not matter,with coiling materials if possible

Age of the item: Pref a few weeks to months

Location of item:West Rand Jhb pref but can organise postage

Delivery/Collection:As above

Reason:Too poor to afford new vape gear (babies are expensive!)

I am totally game,just depends on price man,and also do you have spare coils cos I run through them ridiculously quickly for some reason...
 
These coils have lasted me months on end, as they have silica wick so you can dryburn with the wick

The MVP was (and in my view still is) a legendary mod.
I assume you are referring to the MVP2 - the one that's built solid like a rock?

Problem is that the power limit of 11 Watts is not going to get you much of a vape on most current day RTAs

I fire my Lemo1 (on a different mod) at about 15 Watts.
If I fire it at 10 Watts (just tried now again) - the vape is nice but very laid back. It needs just a bit more power. I have a standard 1.2 ohm Kanthal single coil build in there.

The suggestion of the Evod by @shabbar is a great one. I like the Evod1 (the first one that came out) - it is a single coil device. The atty costs about R80. Check ECiggies or VapourMountain. Not sure if they have stock of this. The standard coils are not expensive - I think about R20 or R30 each. They last me about 20-30ml of juice but that takes quite a while to go through because you can easily get by on about 3-4ml a day in this device.

Nice thing is you can also rebuild the coils and rewick them yourself. Just do a Youtube search and you will find a great video from RipTrippers where he shows you. I rebuilt many of these quite a while ago with good results. I used 28g Kanthal and organic cotton (Dischem cotton balls) as wicks. 10 wraps around 1.6mm ID (you can't go too big otherwise it touches the metal holder) and you will be at about 1.4 or 1.5 ohms - which is perfect for the MVP. Only problem with rebuilding this coil head is that it's quite small and finicky. You need good eyesight and steady hands - but its not that difficult.

Nowadays I use stock coils on my Evod for morning vapes. It's no cloud machine nor is it an intense vape. But I use higher mg strength and extra menthol for more kick. Works nicely. I find the silica wick in the stock coil brings out the sourness in some of the fruity vapes - which I like. You might not like it though. Also, the Evod is a mouth to lung atty - not for direct lung hits.

You could try a Lemo1 or a Kayfun - I recall some folk who had MVPs used to run Kayfuns on their MVP. i.e. a tank where lower power is fine on higher resistances and tighter draws.

I can agree . Same with the Protank 3 Mini, building your own coils and rewicking is actually very easy.
 
I have a protank that I used once. If you want it it's yours for free.
Its airflow was in the base of the 510 so I didn't like juice on the 510.

I am looking to upgrade,but my financial situation sucks at the moment so I'm playing the waiting game...I've spoken to a few guys selling off old vape gear to finance new stuff so hopefully in the near future their loss will be my gain -evil grin-
