Coil Master DIY Kit V3

Coil Master Ceramic Sticks
300x300

Hi @Vapers Corner
Still on the topic of the ceramic rods
I have never dry fired with a mandrel inside the coil

Is this intended for the first time when you insert the coil or afterwards when you rewick?

@Silver. Imo, the sticks can be used for installation or rewick.

Thanks @Craig0

I use a flat precision screwdriver for wrapping my coils. The ones used for adjusting spectacles.
Sometimes after initially installing the coil and firing/pulsing it to check if its glowing nicely, the screwdriver doesnt go back in easily. Obviously the pulsing changes the shape ever so slightly. But I think its the tip of the screwdriver which is a flat head and is as wide as the screwdriver shaft. I want to get a star screwdriver which is effectively pointed, so it goes in easier.

I suppose keeping the coil on the ceramic rod while installing and dry firing to preserve the shape does make sense.

You should try the Coil Master coiling kit for wrapping coils. It has lekker long shafts from 1.5mm id to 4mm id. See below:

Thanks @Craig0
I know you are right

But I have tried a few of these coiling devices (not that one) and just could never get the hang of it. I see other guys using it well but I have had bad luck. Gave up on them a while ago. Lol.
