Good day all,

Been a while... I have a question. I switched my mom over to vaping finally. Been about two years now I guess. She's still on 50mg, but much better than smoking still. Here is the thing, I switched her onto Bewolk's original disposables. The 6000 puff ones. I always buy one extra for me, so I can klap it while visiting her. Been using it a bit more recently while getting inked, since my artist doesn't mind me vaping while he works. I realised she has been right about something. All these pods don't last the same time... Some last 6 days, others up to 8 days, and more and more a few that are kapoet after just three days. Same vendor, so no irregularities there. Long story short, I think it's time to try something else, but I still want a disposable with locally made juice. I don't trust the imported stuff. Does such a thing exist? Same system, separate battery and just changing out the disposable pods.

Thanks

You need to try their Tjoef Vapes. Brilliant flavours and can be 20mg or 50mg. They last pretty well and are rechargeable.

Thanks @Rob Fisher, but I'm actually trying to move away from Bewolk. Too many quality control issues, and in my view that whole Jack Parrow thing is overhyped and overpriced. Found an alternative real quick though. Cheaper, more puffs and consistent quality control thus far.

For me, the Jack Parow range has been a revelation. When Vape Republic ran out of the 20mg disposables, I was searching for replacements. Most vape shops only stock 50mg disposables, and those are just too strong for me. I'm very happy with the consistency, and the flavours are significantly better than those of any other disposable I have found.

What brand have you switched to?

firstly remember, you cannot absorb more than 36MG. so drop down from the 50MG BS. you wont notice the difference in head rush between a 36 and a 50.

secondly, put yourself in the shoes of the person making the disposable.
you want your product to sell. so you want people to buy it often. making it burn or run dry or have the battery fail is going to cause people to buy another device. the very concept of a disposable device creates the issues you describe and while you buy a disposable you will ALWAYS have those same issues.

my advice is simple.
get a Vapresso Eco nano, or a XROS 5, or a OXVA pod device.
get a 36MG juice. get a few pods.

when you do the math a good pod device is a lot cheaper than disposables.
lets say you buy enough disposables to last the month. and each of them is the "best case" that last 8 days. that is 4 devices in a month. at what? R250 each? that is R1000.

now lets say you go Eco nano. R300 for the device. R250 for the Juice. R70 for a spare pod. now you are set for the month. and that was R420.

now lets say you don't like only having one flavor for the month. so next month you get 4 pods, and 4 different juices. now you spent a little more than you would have spent on disposables, but you are now actually set for 2 or 3 months.

the ONLY time a disposable is a valid answer is when you are going camping, or to a music festival, or clubbing or drinking at a bar, and having an expensive mod is too risky because you will lose the device. in every single other situation a disposable is just a worse option.

so stop falling for marketing. stop looking at puff counts. and most importantly stop throwing away a freaking battery that contains a rare earth metal that is in short supply (lithium). using disposables directly leads to slower progress and slower drop in prices of batteries. you want better batteries for your solar set up at home in 5 years? then stop making it profitable to throw away a battery with every device.

I'm not disputing anything but for me I try to vape both pods and sub ohms tanks like I vape DTL and pods and sub ohm coils just don't last me. Some 1 day. Some up to four days with the correct juice. I have to use an RTA to make it economical and once you get the hang of it it's not difficult. I use either commercial coils or wrap my own coils with commercially made coil wire that comes on a spool. The coils last me ages. In the region of a year each pair. I buy very budget friendly cotton that come in 1.5 meter and longer lengths so that's also really economical. 5 years in now for me and basically haven't changed my style in four plus years.
