Having read dozens of positive reviews on the Reuleaux 200 and Reuleaux RX200, and from general reading, it appears that almost every serious vaper has one.

So yesterday I picked up the Reuleaux RX "2/3". I like the versatility of being able to use two or three batteries, hence my choice over the previous 2 models.

I was using the Serpent mini 25mm RTA on it the whole of last night and this morning. No hassles. Then, by mid morning today, I get a message: "Atomizer Short".

I tried 3 other attys, - no problems. Screwed the Serpent 25 back on, it was fine. Picked it up 10 mins later, same message. Removed the atty, put it back on, works for a while, then: same message. I screwed the Serpent on so tight eventually, that I broke the glass trying to get it off.

Now while reading this thread, I see this is a common problem with the Reuleaux 200.

I took the advice of one poster by cleaning the 510 pin with a tissue, pressing on the rubber ring surrounding the 510 pin, and " wedging" up the pin a bit, gently.

I will see how it goes.

Any advice will be welcome.

Other than this, it seems an awesome device.

Oh yes, one more thing.... It only fires up to 180W with 3 batteries in. Must I upgrade the firmware to get the 200W? (Not that I will ever use 200W, but it's the principle.)

@Waine...what you have done is the best action...I have this prob on my rolo time to time and this sorts it out

WRT the 180W firmware upgrade if available shud do it but I find it strange considering the RX200S has been upgraded to 250W couple months ago

I sometimes also get the same issue.

And wedging the pin slightly fixes it Every time.

Be sure to turn the mod off though. I've had times where it sparks sometimes when touching the pin with a metal object ( usually the tweezer to move the pin)

I cranked up the plus button and it reached 200W. Working! How crazy is this? I swear, last night it only reached 180W in VW mode. (I often have weird things happen to me with mechanical things, believe me!) Anyway, the main thing is, it is working. I just took a hit on 200W by mistake while writing this post. OMG, it almost killed me. I can never vape on wattages even near 200. 60W is way, more than sufficient for me. I am happy with 30 - 45 W even with the Aromamizer Supreme.

I will monitor the dreaded: "Atomiser Short" message and give feedback.

The RX has a max voltage output of 9V when in 3 bat config and 6V in 2 bat config.

I remember with the original RX200, when you hit the 9V limit the wattage does not go up anymore.

For example, 0.5Ω coil at 9V will give you around 162W, so the mod will only go up to 162W.

I don't know if this is the case with the newer models.

Maybe test it.

Thanks for that @Attie.

Now there is a new problem. tried to fire the Aromamizer Supreme up this morning on the RX. The Volt reading is at 3.30. Last night it was at 4 Volts. I get this message: "Atomiser low". It was working perfectly last night.

Is my coil build perhaps too low? It was working fine last night, but as you say, it only went top to 150W, perhaps as the build is on 0.15 Ohms.

This RX 2/3 is very tempremental. What am I doing wrong?

Check that your atty doesn't have any stray pieces of wire in the post holes that may have broken off when tightening the screws, that was the issue with my rx200, if not then remove your coils amd re insert then, tighten the screws and pull the slack out with a rod in the coil, could be the smallest of things making contact somewhere it shouldn't, also wipe your battery tray and battery contacts with some rubbing alcohol

@Moey_Ismael thanks. I will rebuild the coil at a lower resistance with a higher ohm reading.

"rebuild the coil at a lower resistance with a higher ohm reading."

@Waine, I hope theres a typo in there somewhere, as it makes NO sense.....

So, I was vaping in TC SS mode. It worked so well. Was thoroughly enjoying it. Then I did a firmware upgrade on my Mac. Got the Wismec logo, got the full 250 Watts. However, now it won't fire on TC mode, in NI, TI or SS. I had a bad feeling about upgrading the firmware. I read somewhere that a RX user had a similar problem. Should have listened to that inner voice. As much as I love this Mod, it continues to be temperamental.

Any advice will be welcome.
