A few epipes...

I'm also interested. I've wanted a pipe for a looong time... but one that uses commercial coils, but NOT GS-Air.
I'm looking for one that I can use my mtl rta's on and preference to a replaceable battery

The Kamry range uses 18350 bats ( entry level) and can take any 510 type rta. Limelight’s use either 18350 or 18500 bats, maybe some bigger by now , so depending on model reasonable vape time, also any 510. Go look on Vapeyaya for the Kamry, they are just slow with shipping, and the Limelight and other custom pipes sites for something HE.

@Hooked , I’ve used a Basal tank with commercial coils, not bad, and also skyline, Kayfun and Beserker Mini rta's. Any commercial tank should work, just take into account that pipes are usually all mech’s, so positive pin must protrude enough. Just get some longer synthetic stems when ordering the Kamry, that bloody metal pipe stem is a tooth chipper.

@Room Fogger I used to like the Basal but now that I've tried other tanks and coils, I realise that it simply doesn't give enough flavour for me - that's why I said NOT GS-Air coils. And I don't build so the other tanks you mentioned are out of the question. And, your comment about pipes being mechs etc. scares me, quite frankly.

@Hooked , you just have to keep it in mind, they are really not that scary. I would think that any commercial tank with an Aspire or similar 0.6 coil or up would work great, and be quite safe. I just haven’t looked at something like that for so long that I don’t know what available currently. MTL is usually over 1 ohm builds, so no problem there. Will go and have a look and let you know what commercial one might work.

It’s a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon vaping. It just slows everything down for me and brings a great calmness to my life. Was my late dad and my special time to sit outside with our pipes and just enjoy, mis those days. Think that is why I enjoy it so much.

@Hooked , My newest one I got via the slow boat from China, $19.95, dark wood with churchwarden type stem and takes a 18350 battery and I’ve even run a Dvarw MTL clone on it. Bliss! Have a black metal one as well. The tank that comes with it uses a 0.5 ohm coil I think, not great but not bad either. Nautilus Mini tank fits and works perfectly as well.

Wow thanks a lot for that link - they have some great e-pipes there! I haven't read the specs on all of them, but the ones which I've thread all use coils of 1.0ohm or above. I wonder why not sub-ohm? I don't even use 0.5ohm coils - I prefer 0.3 for flavour. As for 1.0ohm or above, not for me, unless I'm vaping nic salts.

Not much sub ohm due to mech status of mods. Only saw the one regulated one in the lot. You can come down and use different tank and coil config, but use have to keep Ohm’s law in mind so as to keep it safe and not exceed the battery capacity. 0.3 should still be marginally safe, will have to check though, as long as you don’t chain vape. Battery life may also suffer due to their small size as well.

@Room Fogger I know nothing about Ohm's Law and neither do I want to. I'm not going down that route. I want plain, simple stuff.
As I said, I don't build.C

EDIT: And please don't tell me that it's really not difficult. You don't know me. Changing a light bulb is a challenge.

Changing a light bulb is a challenge.

Come on @Hooked you know that's not true. You could easily build your own 1 Ohm coils.

You have lived all over the world, drive a car, etc, etc, etc. You could learn and understand Ohms Law in a few minutes. As fot building simple round wire coils....you could almost do it with your eyes closed.

You could even buy them already made up.
