The main issue is that, as South Africans, we no longer remember how lektrik works.

Thank God for solar cells, batteries and inverters :), else I'd have to consider migrating back to stinkies with Eishkom putting us back on rations :(

OK, so a couple of nights ago just as I was off to dream land, I had these figures floating around outside my head. All to do with Pulse width modulation (PWM)

@Intuthu Kagesi said that the Noisy cricket V2 delivered it's power via PWM on a full on, full off manner. The off being determined by the pot. So if we take one second and deliver .25 of a second for on and then .75 off, then we can take 8V / 4 which gives us 2 V for .25 of a second and 0 V for .75 and then repeat for as long as the button is pressed.

So I thought, could this be repeated using the CCW mode on the Vapour Storm Puma. In bypass mode the Puma just delivers full power. It has no VV mode. So if I set it up for 1/2 second on then 1 1/2 seconds off, then repeat, will it emulate the NCV2

What do think ?

o_O a response to that is above my pay grade... @Intuthu Kagesi would be the right one to respond, but I have not seen him around for quite some time now :worried:

We know why but that is his choice.

Any way, .... put you hand on the stove, turn it on turn it off, repeat. That is PWM. Which is electrical speak for,

get your hand off the stove dummy.
