Hey guys made a review of the smok nord. Have a look please and as always feedback is appreciated.

I appologies in advance for the sound quality it's not terrible but I'm not happy with it.
I have a new mic incoming this week to replace my current new one I got a week back so the quality should be better on next video.

It’s true what you’re saying there. Most of the reviewers will unpack, test and review vape gear out of the box so we get a lot of subjective, first impressions more than decent reviews. Thank you for sharing your experience! I was also tempted to give it a try but now my mind is made up.

Watched your review with horror and decided to try out my buddy's Nord. fitted 0.6ohm mesh coil and added sum Exclamation juice.
It actually vapes rather well (not as stealth as the Breeze 2) but can make decent clouds and flava delivery is on point. Coil life (according to buddy) has going on 10 days and no flava muting/burning...nothing.
I'm SOLD!

I didn't have no success with the Nord, hated the dam thing.
I can however very highly recommend the Uwell Caliburn. If you thought the flavour off the Nord was good you will think the Caliburn is out this world.
I have a review of that one up.

I'm busy testing out a new smok pod device now which uses same coils as Nord and think it's a much better device than the Nord.

First impression video of that one will be up tonight.

Thanks Bud, unfortunately I don't see the Smok Nord Review?

I took it off last week because people cant handle a personal opinion and act as if I'm harming them by disliking a product.

Criticism is important but when it turns into non productive and becomes personal than I rather stear clear.

But yet people complain reviewers aren't true and honest and say we always glorify everything but when we do it's a problem too.

That topic will be in one video in the near future.

Nord I feel was crazy hype based I have a mipod n love this little device

This versus the Renova Zero?

Haven't tried that one out yet.
But the Caliburn is close to perfection.
The new Smok Trinity Alpha is also really good with the 0.8mtl mesh coil but the draw is very loose (lung/restricted lung hit).
First impression video on the Trinity coming soon (within a few hours).

If you considering getting the Nord, have a look at my Smok Trinity Alpha first impression video I put up last night.
Uses the same coils as the Nord (the 0.8 mtl mesh coils are champion) .

You can call it a improved Nord.

The size/form factor is a big issue for me.

The size/form factor is a big issue for me.

It is a little on the big side for a pod system but when one has been used to carrying dual and even triple 18650 cell mods for 3 years it's pretty small :)

The Caliburn still is the better device though form factor, airflow and flavour the Caliburn wins all departments.
But if you someone that likes more airflow (direct lung) the Trinity Alpha will be more up your street.

Since my wife's hijacked my Renova Zero I've been thinking about another for myself. I'm glad I didn't buy it as I heard they've been discontinued.

From what I've seen and read; I think the Caliburn is my next device! Thanks!

I like these comparative posts @Clouds4Days
Maybe if you get time you can make a thread and just have a quick sentence or two on each of the pods
And where they stack up in draw tightness and a few other factors.
I think something like that would add a lot of value.
And as you try out new devices, you can slot it in to the comparative thread - if you know what I mean.

Great idea @Silver . As soon as I get a space I will definitely do that as you are right there ate so many pod systems out its difficult to know which one is the right one to choose as spec sheets dont show airflow, coil longevity, etc...

Thanks for the great idea :)

Been using the Nord for a little over a week now, and I have the following gripes (and they seems related):
  • Pod leaks
  • Dry hits
The leaks are 'apparently' due to condensation under the mouthpiece (basically under the mouthpiece, sometimes a tiny bit of liquid can be seen btwn the mouthpiece and the clear part of the pod)....BUT...it seems that the 'leak' runs along the sides of the pod & pools at the bottom on the three connector pins...so I doubt that 'condensation' causes that. I've seen guys ripping the mouthpiece off and damaging it in the process to stop this 'leak'

A bit of YouTubing, and I come across an interesting vid where the poster claims the leaks are caused when the pod bottoms into the mod onto the connector pins - his theory is that the connectors compress the sealing ring on the coil when it bottoms into the mod and causes a leak from the base of the coil onto the pins. So he reckons that you should insert the pod until the coil contacts with the pins, causing the fire button to light up & this should be sufficient to vape on without any leaks...So I tried it and it WORKS!

:ISEEWHATYOUDIDTHERE:

The dry hits are prolly also connected to the leaks, where the bottoming of the pod causes the leak onto the connector pins & drains the wick of its 'soaked' juice AND when we take a drag when it's 'leaking', the wick tends to dry out and cause the dreaded dry hit. I've tried the above method & it seems to make a major difference.

I recommend that @Clouds4Days try the above with those 'dry hit' coils and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks brother
I got rid of the nord a while ago.

Ok, that's a shame but let us know how the Trinity Alpha performs

So far so good. More positives and only a few negatives but much more happier with the Trinity than the Nord.

I will have a full in depth review out Friday evening as by then I have had the device for just over 2 weeks so I should be able to give a accurate review.

Can anyone confirm this about the Renova Zero? Hopefully just a rumour...
