This is a notification to all members that the more sophisticated Classifieds add-on module that was introduced in August 2015 is going to be shut down in early Jan 2016. This is the system accessed by clicking the "Classifieds" link in the top black navigation bar.
We were running with both the new module and the "traditional way" in parallel. When the new system is shut down, the "old way" will continue to be available. The old way is the traditional way of using the threads like it has been since inception. I.e. By accessing the Classifieds For Sale sub forum.
Why are we doing this?
The new add-on promised to bring many benefits such as the required fields and reduced moderation time. However it had some shortcomings, the main one being that it wasnt Tapatalk friendly.
How does this affect you?
If you have an open ad running on the "new system", you will need to repost it in the "old Classifieds threads". When the system is shut down, your ad on the "new system" will be lost.
In the mean time, please do not post any new ads using the "new system"
When will it be shut down?
We will keep it running for about a week or so - but will shut it down early in the new year. Should be in the first week of Jan 2016. A final date will be announced closer to the time.
