So just got a mouthful of horrible acrid burnt taste assumed the coil has gone remove the coil then pull it out to just look and the Wick looks fine and the coil seems fine.. i only bought it yesterday .. i am only at 15-20 watts. .. it's the Kangertech tank.. so i have a spare coil and it's 15-60 watt coil so I put it in and fire it up but it's just not the same vape.. it's difficult to get a good vape I have it on 25 watts.. my question is how long should the first coil have lasted and does anyone have any suggestions on the second coil not performing as well..

Go dripper and never look back :p

Have you tried putting some drops of juice inside the coil?
What pg/vg ratio of juice are you using?
It could be that the wick is not saturating with liquid properly so you end up smoking cotton.

Hi yep it's better now... I did soak it but it just needed to sit for longer I suppose. . So this coil 15-60w is fine.. but still do not understand why the first coil only lasted from yesterday morning until this afternoon... thanks for the link @Christos will go through it now see if I can see anything there that others say have had issue with..

No idea. Could have been a dud or maybe it didn't wick properly and the cotton burnt slightly. Perhaps try take a few puffs without firing to prime the coil properly.

I stopped using commercial coils because I remember ruining my coils on a Saturday night and not having any and driving to the end of the earth on Sunday morning to get a new tank lol.
A week later I had a rebuilding and was building my coils weekly.

Yep coil building will be my next project once I master the juice....

Hang in there @Nick

I agree with the above advice
Let the coils sit in the filled tank for a few minutes
Also puffing once or twice without firing can help to saturate the wicks
Once it gets going it should last a while
At around 15 watts i would imagine the commercial coils can last about 15-20ml of juice before the flavour drops a bit.

Other problem with commercial coils is that you sometimes get duds. In a pack of 5 you can get one or even two duds if you are unlucky.

Once you go rebuildable, it is quite liberating and you can control far more aspects of the vape. But it does take a bit of time. Nevertheless, i think its a good idea to keep one "commercial coil device" in operation for backup purposes or when in a hurry.

Agreed.
Alternatively you can go batshit crazy and have 4 tanks in rotation. Speaking from experience here as filling a tank was a mission in the morning because I'm always late.
