Not really new, kinda old actually. Been vaping 13 years now. Was pretty active here, then I ended up moving down to SA. Started a family, and then I thought “hey I miss this kak!”

So, I’m back!

And actually I’ve got a couple game changing things to bring to the table for local retailers and juice makers.

Stopped smoking cigarettes during covid because of the ban, and happened across vaping. And my mom stopped smoking cigarettes after 38 years when she tried mine, crazy!

Going down the rabbit hole of DIY vape juice now because I cannot get The Dude Juice anymore since they discontinued it, if anyone has recommendations for an mtl, no ice, 50/50, I would appreciate it!

Welcome @WandaWanderer I also stopped due to the tobacco ban.

I vape RTA's with mods.
Enjoying fruity flavours, wicks bubblegum, plus an additional bubblegum, Peppermint and Spearmint.
There are a few others that are fruity mixes.
I'm not to much into full on mixing but to mix oneshots.

So my suggestion would be to look at a site like e-liquid-recipes.com and find something there. Then note that these are typically mixed for 3mg juices, so in order to make it a MTL juice (depends on your definition of MTL as some take that as high freebase, e.g. 12mg or such, and others as high Nic Salts, e.g. 30mg or such), you need to take the recipe and adapt the concentrate percentages. A (very) general rule of thumb is to up the recipe by about 15-25% per 10mg of nicotine. Read through the forum as this exact point has been discussed in many sub-forums and you will find very valuable information in there. One thing I can say, do not mix a 100ml of a new juice you saw and think it looks good first time, always start with a 5-10ml tester, trust me on this one...

Hi Gals and Guys.

I stopped smoking (Combustable) tobacco over two years ago after I moved onto the Iqos devices. (Swore I never would as if someone wanted to smoke then smoke a cigarette) My opinion with regards to vapes and vaping in general has never been endearing as such, as I tried a Friend's vape about 12 years ago. That experience left me rather cold and strengthened my sentiment surrounding vapes.
Anyway, I caught my youngest Daughter vaping about two months ago and confiscated her vapes. But after some contemplation (Honestly, maybe five minutes. She is 18 and realistically, where do I draw the line with what choices she makes) I had an agreement in place whereby she agreed not to vape inside and that I would purchase her vapes (Reason here being that I didn't want her obtaining substandard vapes/juice. I suppose that was a bit of ignorance on my part but was under the impression that cheap vapes = cheap products/juice. True? I am not sure...) So I set out to purchase something for her and ended up with a reusable pod type system.
I know this is long winded and most of you probaly gave up reading this already but there is a point to all of this I assure you...
I asked her that when she first used her new vape, that I wanted to try it as well, which I did, which in turn got me thinking...
A week later I had an Armour G and four days after that and Armour S. Everything happened a bit fast I think and after experimenting with a few differenet flavours (Apparently I dislike any fruity juice. Oh and anything with ice at the end of the name. Or anywhere in between for that matter) I was totally "hooked".
I have a number of various mods currently and have already moved into the magical (Read that as dark magic) realm of RTA and RDA tanks. Still struggling a bit and I will post a plea for help at a later stage.
I suppose that I was also fortunate in the sense that I was able to transition from cigarettes to the "sissy" heated tobacco "rubbish" to the "yucky" and "smelly" vapes effortlessly. It appears that I have then also become one of those vaping idiots I was always so critical of years ago.
My Better Half also (Jokingly) commented the other evening that my 40 year old self would be disgusted with my 55 year old self, that with me sitting amidst a cloud of vapour on our varenda, with a bemused and self satisfied little smile on my face.
And here we are then... I am loving it and in some ways wondering what on earth took me so long. It was never about the nicotine and I always knew that as I never really craved a cigarette if I was unable to have one due to circumstances. I have said and believed that, for me at least, it was more about the ritual or habit of holding a cigarette and exhaling and watching the smoke. The social aspect too of course. I now have smoke in abundance and this also addresses and satiates my desire and curiousity to constantly tinker and fiddle with "stuff".
Over the years I have been "accused" of always having to mod everything so it was a spectacular day when I came home with my first mod and was questioned as to what on earth that was. Just watching the confusion on her face when I replied "Well, it is a.................mod...?"
