WIRE ss ni ti nichrome.... ????!

i need a good explanation of the differences between Ss and nichrome and others... i know the material differs but whats the vape like on each.

If some one can just break it down for me or a few opinions i like my claptons but thinking of going ss in a good rta or so!

They all work in temp mode except Kanthal and all can be used in VW mode except titanium. I'm no Rian Red so let's hope they go I depth

Kanthal is "old school" basic wire. It has the highest resistance of the wires listed. This wire is good for your higher resistance coils and better suited to micro coils or where build space is limited.

Titanium is for temperature control devices only. I've never used this wire before so can't comment on its use. I choose not to use it because it has questionable health concerns.

Nickel is also strictly used for temp control, has a very low resistance and is very soft and easy to work with. Again, I don't have a lot of experience with this wire type.

Nichrome, I have mixed feelings about this stuff. I don't find it particularly easy to work with. This wire contains 80% Nickel, I'm still not sold on the safety aspect of nickel.

Stainless Steel is my favourite wire. It has half the resistance of Kanthal, very easy to work with and works in normal power mode as well as temp control mode. I also really like the speed at which this wire heats up. SS316L is the bees knees

No worries

If you're thinking of trying SS then start with 26g, it's what I use most. Usually 7 or so wraps on a 2.5mm ID bring you to around 0.25 ohms on a dual coil setup. But this of course will vary depending on what hardware you're using.
