Want to get into e-pipes and diy again

Google Underwood Mods. Made by a bloke in Aussie, some really great pipes. Cost an arm and a leg though. Also love Limelight pipes, seriously need to start a fund to get one of those. Although if someone produces a great pipe locally, that would be the shizz

Just brainstorming.
A dripper pipe. A small MTL bottom fed atty in the base, the bowl holding the squonk bottle, sqounked from above, with the challenge being where to put the infernal battery.

The battery seems to be the item most limiting to copying an authentic pipe design. At least in terms of dimensions.

Regards

The battery is the thing that keeps getting in the way, your reference to the "infernal battery" nails it :-D

I'm also leaning towards a squonk pipe, with at least 1x 18650 or similar LiPo, some regulation would also be great.

My design idea is less traditional and more organic.

I have been to the Underwood site and they are amazing, seems to sell out real fast as well. Will be studying then in detail as well for my project. Just a pity there is not anything in the pictures to judge the scale of the pipe. About the Limelight ones I definitely agree they are great, now to get one, eventually. Local would be lekker, keeping my fingers crossed.

Maybe a Meerschuim type as the tend to have a longer more elaborate bowl, may be able to hollow it out for a flat battery pack, don't think anyone will be willing to supply one for research and development though. But 3D printing is starting to look like an option, the new printers can do absolute wonders. But they cost.

@Oupa was the Limelight guy back in the day, I wonder if he still has contacts on that side or perhaps knows of one or two floating around locally?

This sounds great, just wondering about atty's small enough that do bottom flow. May have to diy the pins, maybe a mcFly or Ol16 type setup may work. Vernier will be coming out to start measuring pipe stems this weekend.

The McFly is actually exactly what I had in mind typing that. I'm running two at the moment and think it would be perfectly suited to this purpose.

@Room Fogger Just in case there's a misunderstanding my Sigh thread https://www.ecigssa.co.za/sigh-i-want-one.t47197/ is not about e-pipes - it's about anything that anyone is dreaming of.. However, it's great that you've resurrected this thread - now I can see all the beautiful e-pipes!
We will still post our pipe dreams there, because we all want one. I thought it would be better but do some of the technical talk and brainstorming here, otherwise we will kill that thread with too much data for others to wade through and they would not be able to see the beauty of everything else.

This answers a lot of questions that I had, just airflow still, but will be saving as this looks legit!

Thanks for adding another link @Room Fogger !

Now for the research to see which one would be the best suited for the purpose. It seems the one where you can't see the tank can only be used with their tank, no 510 connection, but I can't see a problem with that except the pricing which is a lot higher. Next is going to be to find out what courier cost is going to be or whether it can be posted.

@Room Fogger Your research is and will be far better than mine, because I look at the appearance only. You have the technical know-how to evaluate it. Question: Can commercial coils be used on these e-pipes?

Still looking at that, it seems that they do use commercial coils, only available from them with the hidden tank ones. The open tanks seems to be able to use whatever you want to throw on there. Still trying to figure it out, and will report back once I know more.
