Ok I have no interest is pods and havent read any thread. Dont even know if al these little thingies are called pods.
One of my clients, an old toppie, has been struggling with his health for the last couple of years. No mayor lung problems but I think his clogged arteries and lack of good oxygen in contributing to the other issues. Anyway his children and wife tried many things to get him off the ciggies. Even bought him some cheap chinamall vape pen. He does want to stop and is on about 5 a day, and 10 on Tuesdays(his klippies and coke day).

So now I want to suggest a pod type system to him. So here is the requirements. It must be easy to use, he will not struggle to build, difficult filling etc. Also leak proof, mod must be able to lie on table hour or two without leaks.
Just something easy to use, he s not going to chase clouds or flavour, just to get his nic fix as easy as possible.
Maybe also suggestion for juice? Maybe a good tobacco? Strenght? He only smoke 5 a day

I would recommend either the Breeze 2 or the Nord. Both fills more or less the same way. With the Breeze 2 it can be a bit difficult to get the mouth piece off when you need to change the coil and with the Nord you simply pull the coil out and push the new one in. Battery life on both are very good, lasts me from 6am till about 6pm and I used to smoke 20+ a day.

Would suggest maybe getting a 20mg RY4 - Pods n Salts to start off with and then reduce the nic as needed.

I wish him well and goodluck with the quitting of the stinkies, if he's got the will then vaping is the way!

The Breeze works well but it's a fiddly thing to use when you need to refill or change the coil. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is trying to stop smoking as it might put them off. Smoking is so easy - just a flick o' the Bic and you're ready to go. That's what a new vaper needs.

And that is what you'll find in the Aspire Gusto Mini. Pods are already filled with nic salts 20mg, available in a few flavours. Just pop a pod in and vape. When it's finished chuck the old pod, put in a new pod one. No fiddling and faffing. Just ready to vape.

@Vape Republic introduced this device to SA about a year or so ago and they have it on sale at the moment. However, it is also available, along with the pods (Element NS20) from other vendors.

My vote is for the Zero or the Minifit.
Breeze coils aren't all that reliable. Sourin Air doesn't last long either. Exceed edge has wear issues with the none disposable pod. All draw activated devices are eventually probe to some kind of failure - in my experience.

I must agree with @Hooked ... Yes vape republic is a close friend of mine but if there's one thing I am not it's biased. I pay full retail for most of my stuff from them and what I love spending money on is my gustos.

I absolutely love love Love this device. The throat hit I get, the flavor I get, the flavor options, the ease of use, the reliability of the battery life and furthermore the form factor.

The entire forum should know that my gustos are my most prized possessions in my vape collection.

Way to go @Jengz! Actually I haven't used mine for a while. Think I must get it out tomorrow!!! I've got some of those fantastic Lime pods hmmmmmmmmmmm!:inlove:

Thanks checked a view reviews now.
One thing I forgot to mention is that it probably has to be readaly available and close to him, specially the pods.
So I checked the Twisp cue also, looks ok, but people complain about price of pods.
Gusto mini look very nice but dont know if I look at wrong place, but the pods seem to be more than double the Twisp cue prices. I got R120 for a pod that they say will last +- 3 days, bid ridiculous?
Smok Nord look great and I find a store close to his house that stock it and coils. Just dont know if he will like to change coils.
Some of the other I like, just dont seem to get any stockist close buy, dont think he will wait for vapemail, probably dont even know how to order anything online:-D
The one that I like most is actually the Justfog minifit (watched @KZOR review). Also dont seem to get shop nearby, but atleast if we can buy a few pods first time, I can always build new coils for him when they done and he cant find new pods.

Thanks for help, will give him a few suggestions, dont even know if he would want to refill pods, or just want to buy ready filled ones, he always say vaping looks like work:-D

You can look at the Twisp Atom as well. Comes with comercial coils and you can use any nic salt with them.

Just their website doesn't have it, but I have seen it at all the stalls and some garages. I also tried it at Vapecon last year and it did impress me.

Edit: Here is a thread about it.

@Jean claude Vaaldamme You're right - the pods for the Gusto are expensive

Lime? Keylime cookie? You have to try the new pods @Hooked! For dessert the quiet owl pod is insane and fruits the peak fuji and something kush is superb!

@Jean claude Vaaldamme I truly understand the pods are expensive, I go through them every 4 days so 30 bucks a day as apposed to my 30-40 bucks a day on stinkies is well worth my money. The reason I love this device so much is that I it's the only device that got me off the stinkies and did so very quickly. I vaped and smoked for good few years until the gusto came along. I know there are cheaper alternatives but I've tried practically all the pod systems out there besides the DNA and sxmini and still, for me, the gusto wins by a land slide.

Hope he finds what works for him!

I have quite a few pod systems (favourite being the Lost Vape Orion, mostly using freebase nic) but for me one of the best buys of the year has been the Zample Box - ZB GO STARTER KIT.
It's cheap to purchase and pods last the longest of any pod system I own (using Nic Salts from Element).
I've had it a few months with zero issues. It's basically what I wish the Twisp CUE was (refillable & leak free).

Thanks that also look good. Where do you buy pods?

Hi @Jean claude Vaaldamme

Great suggestions here from the guys that use pods

I would just advise you to think about having a spare battery. Or getting 2 pods. So when it goes flat you can just switch to a fresh battery or pod. Nothing more irritating than having only one battery and then having to wait to charge it. Also not good when you need to go somewhere and your battery is about to go flat. Having some indication of the flatness of the battery is also desirable.

I would say go for either the Renova Zero or the SMOK Nord. Take a look at the stores near to him to see how widely available the replacement pods are and the cost of the replacement pods before making a choice.

As for the juice, I'd say Naked100 American Patriots is what you're looking for. You can also show him this:
https://vapeshop.co.za/BLVK UNICORN SALT NIC COMBO

Alternatively, if the 35mg strength seems a bit much, order a custom e-liquid from Vapour Mountain. You can choose a 50/50 VG/PG Ratio and maybe 18mg strength. This option should be the cheapest. VM also does a tobacco juice called VM4 which may be what he's looking for.

Seems like a cost effective and great device. How is the power output? Is it a cool vape or warm vape?

I find it slightly warm. For me, very similar to the Cue. The proprietary charger is excellent but it may be a con for some as you need to have it with you. I keep it in a small case with spare juice/pods and other pod gear. Take it with me if I’m going out for an extended period of time. The battery life is actually surprisingly good for a small device.
