Hi everyone,

I'm excited to host our upcoming DIY vape juice mixing event at Mad Giant Taproom in Blairgowrie on May 11th at 12:00. To ensure we have a smooth and enjoyable gathering, please take note of the following requirements and guidelines:

Event Requirements:

  1. Bring Your Own Equipment (BYOE):
    • Please bring your own mixing equipment, including:
      • Scale (preferred for accurate measurements)
      • Bottles for mixing and storing
      • Disposable pipettes or syringes (if not using a scale)
      • Gloves (optional but recommended)
  2. Ingredients:
    • Bring your own base liquids (VG, PG) and preferred nicotine (if desired).
    • Bring your choice of flavour concentrates for mixing your e-liquids.
  3. Respectful Use of Shared Supplies:
    • I will provide some base liquids and concentrates for communal use.
    • Any use of shared supplies (base liquids, concentrates) will be charged accordingly to cover costs.
Important Notes:

  • This event is not a free sampling session. Please be prepared to participate and contribute to the mixing process actively.
  • I encourage everyone to bring their creativity and enthusiasm for DIY e-liquid mixing!
  • Let's keep the atmosphere friendly, respectful, and fun for all attendees.

I'm not anticipating a massive turnout—this is the first DIY e-liquid mixing event of its kind outside of a vape expo, and it's all grassroots, no big budgets or sponsorships. Just a small gathering of like-minded folks ready to mix it up!

We were having massive FOMO lol but we heard from a few guys and they truly enjoyed the day!

I'm excited to start planning our next DIY e-liquid mixing meet-up! We've got three potential dates: September 21st (Saturday), September 24th (Wednesday - it's a public holiday!), and September 28th (Saturday). I will also be looking for a new venue for the event. The Mad Giant Tap Room was cool, but space was limited.

I need your input on which date works best for most of you. Also, I want to gauge interest and create some buzz around the event. Last time was a blast, and I can't wait to do it all over again with even more flavours and fun.

So, what do you think? Drop your preferred date in the comments and let me know if you're interested in joining us for another epic day of mixing and vaping.
 
would it be better if we held it close to say Blck's store in Benoni so if we need to pop over to grab some stuff its close.
but I have not lived in the east rand since 2016 so I have no idea if there is even a place close by that would be a decent venue. I have been to the store though.

I kind of remember there being a pub next door to blck.
and according to google maps there is Dingo's pub and grill where cool runnigns used to be.
and there is gazz monkey pub and grill as well thats not too far from blck.

this is just me giving ideas. I am a pretoria guy now so I would sugjest something like Capital craft, Hennies, Rock@88, or hell even Moonshot could be arranged. I might know a guy at Moonshot.

Well... Considering I've joined this forum back in 2014 and have always had the same profile pic, and baxteen has joined way later than me, I don't see a reason to change my profile pic. Nor does he have to change his :--P:-D

Fully agree no point in fighting.

I got this profile pic from the late great Fanie.dry on Mybroadband forum around 2013 or so. he could have stolen it from this baksteen as well for all I know. or they could have found it in the same place.

but I have been Baxteen spelled the same way since 2002 when I got the nickname at school. I even had a neopets account with this spelling. even my gmail contains it and that has been going since 2007 I think.

but I am wiht an X because it was cool before Elon ruined it.
 
Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate the ideas for venues near BLCK in Benoni, but I'm aiming to keep the event in the Northern suburbs. The East Rand already has its fair share of vape meets, and I want to offer something for the folks up north. Plus, BLCK did an amazing job sponsoring flavours for our last event, so I want to ensure we keep things accessible for everyone up here.

Despite some attendees not bringing any concentrates, base liquids, or even bottles, everyone walked away with a bottle of juice they mixed themselves at our last event. This shows we can handle supply efficiently, even if we're not right next to a store. As long as people don't take advantage of the kindness of others, we should be good. It is a BYOG event, so you are expected to have everything you need, but I also understand that some people have never mixed before and don't want to buy a bunch of stuff when they are not sure if they are going to use it.

I think it’s important to find a spot that’s not only convenient but also adds to the fun and camaraderie of the event. Let’s look for venues around the Northern suburbs that can accommodate us. Maybe another local pub or grill that’s vape-friendly and has a great atmosphere. I am thinking of maybe checking with a Vape King near the last venue.

If anyone has more suggestions for venues in the Northern suburbs or feedback on the dates (21, 24, or 28 September), please drop them here. I'm excited to make this event even better than the last one!
