Hi all so I have this geek ape athena kit.. pretty nifty device, but all of a sudden it stopped working. . I tried opening it up and cleaning it thoroughly but it still not working... battery is fully charged.. safety is off.. when I hit fire... there' absolutely nothing. . I mean the plate makes contact with the button thing as well as the atty thing... but it's being really dodgy and not firing at all.
Please note.. the plate does have this random little green spot on it ..

That is a bit strange because the Athena is a well built mod electrically speaking. I would first clean the contact point with some electrical cleaner (available from any electronics store). Spray some onto a piece of paper and slide the paper between the contact points while lightly pushing the fire button. If you have a mulimeter also check that there is a voltage on the 510 connector. That will tell you whether the mod is faulty (not likely) or there is a problem with the atty. You can then put the atty back and check the voltage on the posts. Hope you get it sorted.
