Name one thing from your childhood

Our suburb was quite modern. We had a five digit number. My Gran had a 3 digit number and it was a Party Line. A "Tickey" a call and you could talk all day long for the "Tickey" (Two and a half pence.)
LOL ... I remember our "number" being two short and a long ring, which makes no sense thinking back, as it implies there were only 8 people on our party line, (2^3) :wondering:

We used to get apricot jam sandwiches for school lunch, probably 3 out of 5 days.
Till today, I get nauseous every time I see apricot jam. Can't stand the stuff. I can have any other jam. Just not that one
Baste a Snoek with it mixed with Aromat and Worcester Sauce. Magic.
