Popcorn lungs

I have observed there is this word thrown around as conversation pieces on the media and at socials. I read also about it briefly after hearing the word. I learned that "popcorn" lungs" mean, among others, there can be slight "scarring" on the lungs. But the talk of the day, in my circle, is that: "Your lungs start looking like popcorn". Sounds like a crock of shyte.

I'm too scared to look at pics on Google....Only kidding

I would love to read some input on this topic.

The term refers to the case of workers developing the condition in a popcorn factory, it's not about what it looks like.
