PLEASE NOTE THE CLASSIFIEDS SECTION IS FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY

The Classifieds exist as a free service that we offer to our loyal members to buy or sell personal items. It is not to be used in any form as a commercial outlet or a perceived commercial outlet. Buying items with the intention of reselling them here without using them will not be allowed. If you wish to commercially trade on ECIGSSA, please contact one of the administrators or moderators.


RULES FOR USING THE CLASSIFIEDS

1. When selling or trading your item(s) you need to include the following information:

• Item being sold: full description, including version and if a clone, where applicable
• Selling Price or what you want to trade for.
• A picture of the actual item(s) Please do not use generic images from the web. Just a pic of the items for sale. Not a pic of all your vape gear!
• Condition of the item(s), including damage and imperfections if any
• Age of the item(s) being sold
  
• Location of item(s)
• Delivery/Collection Options
• Reason(s) for selling or Trading

Note that if your bundle includes batteries, you need to post a picture of the batteries as well as the make and specifications of the batteries.

Please note that if your post does not contain this information it may be deleted by the Admin & Mod team.

2. If the item(s) has been sold or you no longer wish to sell, please add a post to say it's sold and also add (SOLD) in the front of the thread title. You can edit the thread prefix (on a normal browser) or edit the thread title. To edit the thread you started (dropdown menu above the first post towards the right called "Thread Tools"). The Admin & Mod team will then archive the thread. Do not delete the thread.

3. Keep your posts in these Classifieds threads on topic. No commenting on price/quality, the offers from others or such.

4. You are not allowed to reference to these posts from adverts in other forums/websites or link from these posts to adverts in other forums/websites.

5. If an item isn't sold after a month it will be closed and archived and you will need to post your advert again... if it hasn't sold after 30 days either people don't want the item or it's too expensive.

6. BUMPING - please do not excessively bump your ad. Excessive bumping is viewed as spam. More than one bump per day will be frowned on and may lead to your ad being deleted.

By posting in the Classifieds you are deemed to have agreed with and accept these rules.

Please note - use of the Classifieds is at your own risk

• Both seller and buyer use these Classifieds entirely at their own risk
• Rather deal with longer standing forum members who have a higher post count
• Ask others if they know the person you are dealing with
• The Admin & Mod team and the forum will not be responsible for deals that go bad
• The Admin & Mod team will not be expected to mediate between any parties of a Classifieds transaction

People... if you are going to try and sell something in the classifieds section of this forum please read the first post here... if you don't follow the guidelines your advert is simply deleted... you HAVE TO post a picture of the item you are selling along with the other info requested.

When posting an ad on the classifieds, your picture should only contain the items for sale

Please dont post a picture with all your vape gear and then say its the mod on the far left. Those types of ads are confusing and may be deleted by the Admin and Mod team.

Please also re-read the rules above (1st post in this thread) and make sure you have all the info in your ad. Ads without all the info may be deleted.

Sometimes its easier to look at a good ad by someone else to get an example of how you should be posting yours.

Obviously, a reminder to read and follow the rules above
They are there for the benefit of all members.

There is something else I want to mention.
It's not a rule but it could help you to sell your gear faster.
Its about what you put in the title

When posting an ad, it helps to be as descriptive as you can in the title of the thread

For example,

"For sale - Subtank Mini and VTC mini - R1,000 - JHB"

is way more descriptive and useful than

"Vape setup" or "Awesome vape gear"

You get the idea

AND
Put in (SOLD) in the front of the title. (By editing the title of your thread)

This will make the Classifieds better for members and will make it easier for the Admin & Mod team to know when to archive.

It is a free resource for the benefit of the members of our community but all we ask is that you read and follow the simple rules posted in the first post in this thread - just scroll up.

Posting an ad with missing info, no price or without pictures just wastes everyone's time. And reduces your chances of a successful sale or trade.

Am seeing too many ads without all the info or without specs and pictures of batteries. Also am seeing some non personal ads.

The Admin and Mod team will become stricter over time in deleting ads that do not adhere to the rules.

It's really simple to follow, so please do it for the benefit of all.

We are trying out a new way for members to alert the Admin and Mod team when your Classifieds Ad is done. Just edit the thread and select the appropriate Prefix before the thread title (either SOLD or ARCHIVE or TRADED).

We still have to archive it but it should make it easier for the team to spot.

What this means is that you may not use the Classifieds as a means of frequent trading or dealing. Importing gear from abroad for the purpose of reselling it here on the Classifieds is not allowed.

The supporting vendors on this forum contribute to the forum and in return they get their own dedicated subforums, in which they can promote vape products for commercial purposes. Dealing on the Classifieds undermines the efforts of the supporting vendors who follow the rules.

Hi all

Please be aware that trading in the Classifieds can be risky.

While we are mostly a close group of superb and generous members with ample mutual respect, there are sometimes chancers that prowl these Classifieds.

Here are some tips that may help you to reduce the risk

• Be weary of recently joined members or those having a low post count - sorry to the bona fide new members, but those with a long active history here are less likely to be chancers
• Make sure all the info is in the ad and the pictures look legit
• Be weary of items that are brand new or still sealed. We have not had many issues but most of them relate to these types of goods.
• When in doubt, or if its a large amount you want to transact, do your homework first. Check the member's post history. Ask long-standing members or the Admin & Mod team for their opinion. We can try give you our advice.
• If a deal looks too good to be true it often is

We ask each and every member here to be careful when using these Classifieds.
Have respect for the other party in a transaction and do your bit to make it a safer place for all.

If the item you are selling has defects, please try explain and show them as best as possible.
Be honest and have integrity when trading in the Classifieds

No-one likes to receive an item and the condition is not what was described in the ad. Paints the seller and unfortunately, the forum in a bad light.

Here's a great example of good disclosure with clear photos explaining the defect.
