I recently bought an ipv4 and wasn't getting the best results mainly due to my lack of experience w/ nickel wire.however I ran across a tip on using twisted 28g nickel and kanthal.the results were very rewarding i.m.o.I'd be interested in any other advise users of T.C. devises might share.

what effect does twisting the wire have ?

is the ramp up low, the ohms higher/ lower , I'm a complete noob in this regard. I imagine twisting creates a parallel coil and halfs the resistance?

I found ramp up quite similar.I can't remember the ohms w/ straight nick. Sorry.

I'd like to add that the nickel coils are very sensitive ,the ohms may jump one way or another w/touching or room temp.ect.
