Hi everyone, hope you are well. I am in the process of opening a vape shop in Port Elizabeth. Any suggestions of where I can get help with becoming an vape influencer

Kind Regards
Louis

Louis, you need to start doing reviews and grow your base. There are no shortcuts. Review hardware and juices here on ECIGSSA and YouTube. Just remember, if you want to promote your vape shop and products here on ECIGSSA, you will need to sign up as a supporting vendor. Contact @Silver for details.

Hey Louis, congrats on the new shop! That’s no small thing these days — especially with the price of juice, coils, and sanity climbing higher than a dry-hit at 100 watts.

Look, I’m not a vape influencer — not by a long shot. I don’t have time to post 100 reels a day or pretend I wake up excited to hold a pod mod like it's the second coming. I’ve got about 1600 followers on Instagram, mostly folks who like flavour notes, gear reviews, and the occasional goat-themed rant. I post when I can, and when I’ve got something worth saying.

Now, if you’re looking to really build your presence, start by getting into the trenches — the forums. The ones that still care about quality over clicks:

Ecigs - you already found

VC (Vaping Community) - Mostly UK-based, but a good place to learn

ELR (E-liquid-recipes.com) — great for mixers

The Vape Workshop — our little barn where DIYers, builders, and vapers chew the fat and swap knowledge (having some technical issues right now)

Forums won’t make you an overnight celebrity, but they’ll make you credible. That said, don’t expect to blow up your follower count there — I’ve maybe gained one or two followers per forum in total.

If you’re trying to grow your presence faster, think about reaching out to people who already have some momentum and collab. Seriously. Offer to review their juice, swap gear for shoutouts, or partner on a giveaway. Ride the wave they’ve already created — but make sure your surfboard’s solid first.

And for the love of clouds, avoid TikTok. I got banned after one harmless unboxing. Instagram is more forgiving, but still finicky. If you post anything that actually shows vaping, you’re playing with fire. Stay smart, play nice with the algorithm, and always keep a backup of your work.

Hope that helps. And if you ever want to do a collab with a grumpy old goat who reviews flavours and devices with more sarcasm than polish, you know where to find me.
