you might have a dispo and a pod system and a rebuildable, but the people who ONLY vape dispo dont take the time to join a forum like this.

Only RTA's. Geekvape Zeus RTA's are my go to daily vapes. Easy, economical, damn good flavour. I currently have seven in continuous use. About 14 plus days between them all for a Major Pitstop. The red one is the only one the colour flakes off.
Mostly blue. One gunmetal grey, one Rainbow and one red.
If Sub ohm coils were dirt cheap id use them but they aren't. Plus the running out of juice and buggering them up is a major deterrent to my using them.

At the moment, I mostly use disposable vapes because they're convenient and easy to carry. I'm interested in trying more pod systems in the future to see how they compare in terms of flavor and cost.

give a pod system a try. I think the Oxva Nexlim series is by far the best.
rebuildables are cheaper than pods.
pods are cheaper than disposables.
disposables are cheaper than sigarettes.


most cost efficient way to vape is to make your own juice, and use a rebuildable.
espesially something with a external battery.

if a dispo costs you R300 and lasts you a week.
a pod will cost you R500 for the battery, R70 for a pod and R280 for juice.
first week dispo is cheaper.
second week you are still cheaper on the dispo.
third week and you are still on your first pod and your first bottle of juice. so now dispo would be R900 and the pod combo cost you R850
Fourth week and you might need more juice and another pod. so dispo would be R1200 and pod combo is the same. but from this point on you are doing a bottle of juice a month and a pod a month.
basically a bottle of juice and a pod last about the same amount of time. and they last about as long as 2 dispo for a heavy user, and 3 or 4 for a less frequent vaper.

add to that you can have more flavour options.

when you spend more initially on something like a good external battery mod and a good RTA, the break even point moves slightly but the savings add up fast because you are not buying pods.

I am on rebuildables and my Evod (which is essentially a pod, where you change the coil about every 50-80ml or so)
I am not a DIY juice mixer but I do make my own blends
I dilute commercial juices with PG/VG/Nic and add menthol.
That way, I get super flexibility and very low cost.

A few thousand rands a year and that's all I really need.
Occasionally that budget increases if I want to try new juices or try a new device.

Wire and wick are very cheap.

The hassle of pitstopping for a rewick is not so bad.
And mixing my juices (my blending) is not bad at all.
I don't like it when I have to make a new coil because that takes a bit more time. But thankfully the coils last very long if you dry burn them correctly when rewicking.

Also, my blending / diluting situation is a lot more forgiving on the coils and wicks. So it means I have to pitstop less.

I have found my happy place and likely will stay here for a while

Side note... I looked at the prices of cigarettes when I went to the local Spar recently... OMG, I'd have been broke if I still smoked the way I used to. Nearly R60 a pack and I used to smoke about 12 to 15 cigs a day.

I am still reliant on the nic so am higher at about 10-15mg
3mg wouldn't feel like much throat hit for me.

As for the price of cigarettes, you are right, it has shot up!!!
