Hey peeps so today my wifes snow wolf mini decided its gonna bomb out.
Im no electrical expert but ive opened her up to see if i would see any loose conection or something burnt.

Everything seems fine.
But ive taken some pics maybe you see something i dont.
So i have 3 options :

1. Can i fix her
2. Can i buy a chip to replace the existing one.
3. Does she go down the gorge.

Thanks in advance

Here are some close up pics of those sections.
There was some juice droplets on the one chip at back of board which i think might be the cause.

Back of board had some juice.

This is before cleaning

@Clouds4Days if u found juice on board most likely the fault. could always get a dna board and convert it to a dna mod...i wanna do this with my minikin

Only problem with a dna board is that you have to then cover existing holes and drill new holes because your adjustable buttons are horizontal on a dna and the snow wolfs chip is verical.

So dont think it will look to good (and i dont have time aka im a lazy ass) :-D

So would rather buy a compatible board and just fit .

What do you mean by that very vague noob term "chip"?
The entire pcb with buttons and display?
or the actual IC ?
If IC, which one, the main programable one? and if you find a blank IC, how will you program it?
If its one of the smaller general use ic's, you need the code and as far as I hear, the manufacturers wipe them off to avoid id for cloning purposes.

Long short, highly doubt you're going to get something that will just plug and play.

@blujeenz im not sure what you call the whole thing, think its a chip board.
I know the existing board is a GX75 Chip

Nah Mr Willards its a pcb, the GX75 refers to the main programmable ic.
..and Im pretty sure the manufacturers wont sell you a replacement.

Best maybe/possible bet is a MM475 50w pcb from modmaker.
They give measurements in the pics at http://www.modmaker.co.uk/Mod-Making-Supplies/VV-VW-Boards/MM475-50w-Board

Thanks so much i will have a look. Off the bat it looks right and i dont need the 75W as my wife only vapes between 30-35 watts.

Edit*- only one problem. Usb port is in front :(

The only solution there would be to take the usb connector off the snow wolf's board and solder it onto the back of the mm475 board, might need to epoxy it into place.
By now a new mod is looking more feasable, what with R340 before customs and shipping, not to mention the waiting and then all the custom work needed before you can even vape.

Could i just remove the usb off completely cause i charge externally in any case.

I love this snow wolf and feel bummed to have to throw it away.
A new snow wolf 75 is R1200 so even if i spent R500 i wouldnt mind.

My only concern is a get the board and for some reason it doesnt work/fit or buttons dont line up , that would be my luck :-D

Bummer, nice mod like that not working...

I know its terrible pa.
Didnt even get a year out of her and she stays at home 70% of the time.

Ive advised my wife to please wipe her mods if she sees juice on them, woman and mods is like woman and cars...

Man: when was the last time you filled your tyres with air....?

Woman: My tyres have air in them???

:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D

LOL!!
I recall someone else on this forum having the same issue due to e-liquid on the board on their Snow Wolf. One would think it would be more resilient...?

Walking on very thin ice there @Clouds4Days. I take it HRH is not a forum member?
