I wonder how many people have had this problem ....my RX dual's (4 months old) battery door just won't close properly. Its killing me, I just want to have a decent vape, but it's gotten so bad that the mod won't read the battery - its practically not working.

I took it to the vendor I bought it from they told me they could do nothing and the warranty was only 7 days. I really enjoyed this device but will warn against that damn battery door. I'm wondering now if I should source another battery door or just call it quits and buy a new mod (which is not really an option). I've already had a good few cigarettes by this point :mad:.
Any ideas on what to do? Anybody have experience with this problem before? Could the problem be elsewhere?

Dont own any but if you google it seems a common problem and Wismecs. See someone mentioned on reddit something about two black screws at bottom of battery compartment that is either not in all the way or bended and needs to be bend back.

@Joe_Doe , 7 days my rear...
According to Wismec's site they offer a 3 Month Warranty : https://www.wismec.com/warranty-policy/ which as far as I know most SA vendors would happily comply with.

I'm no expert on this topic, but you may want to bring section 53 through 56 (especially 56) of the SA Consumer Protection Act to the particular Vendor's attention when you return the product:
https://www.thedti.gov.za/business_regulation/acts/consumer_protection.PDF

7 Days is just out, and it might be easier to cut your losses if it fails after 3 months instead of 'farting against the wind' for a few hundred bucks.
The Law is there for a reason - your protection against unfair / unscrupulous behaviour.

Just my 2c.

I had a similar feeling about the whole affair, and was rather disappointed when I stepped in and out of the store.....I expected a better response, especially considering how I invested with this vendor.. But I am a softy, I was polite and walked out. I am outside the 3-month period considering its Feb, but I emailed wismec. I am thanking you for your guidance, Anybody know stores with a decent warranty policy?

Tried the screws but will try again! Thanks!

I've mentioned it previously and I'll say it again; in any industry - if you pay a premium price from a premium vendor you do so because of the service and after-sales support (warranties, guarantees, etc.). Why isn't the vaping industry the same?

That said; mods with battery flaps have always concerned me. I remember a friend waiting four months for a new door to arrive for his Tesla Steampunk.

As mentioned above - I'd make contact with Wismec themselves. It probably won't happen quickly but at least you'll get something out of it eventually.
