As far as I know a dual coil set up will share the 90 W between the two coils. You would think that the performance would be less if you are only putting half the W through each coil, but the argument here is that you have double the surface area and juice evaporation and that 45 W should be sufficient to vaporise the juice. Juice vaporizes at much lower W than 45. You need 3.91 V to drive that 90 W. Easy enough with a dual battery in series but the single battery will need a boost of some kind to produce those V until the power runs out.

Basically the circuitry dams up the lower voltage until it reaches what you have asked of it and then releases it. This happens in a series of pulses (the speed is what amazes me in vape mods) in milliseconds. The better the chip the more efficient this is.

Juice vaporizes at much lower W than 45

You would expect so but what wattage you are at or voltage to drive that wattage is just a means to an end and not what actually vaporizes the e-liquid which even when not using TC is temperature! How much power and time with that power that is needed to get said coil up to the temperature were it's vaporizing the e-liquid to give the vape we are after is going to vary between wire type, thickness of wire, diameter of wraps, how many wraps, make-up of coil (can include several wires of several thicknesses and even wire types) etc etc!

This is very true but also the good news for vapers is proprietary chipsets have improved that much differences for the most part need equipment and software to get data to tell them apart. Occasionally a mod will still get released which at an higher power level a slight delay can be detected or ramp up seems slightly slow but for most they all perform identically from what humans can detect!
