Good Morning Guys.

Advice please. What batteries would you recommend for sub/ohm vaping in a mechanical mod. At the moment I use LG Browns and AWT 3.7v 2600MAH 40A. I normally change batteries after about 3-4 ml of juice. My preferred vaping style is at 0.3ohms. Up to date I have not had any issues, but I want to keep it safe.

Thanks.

At .3 ohms you are safe with those batteries.

Samsung 25r's can take some abuse. I run mine at about 0.25ohm

I only use the Samsungs in my Reo - either the old Smurf or the new Green ones.
I vape normally around 0.5 duals, but up to a few months ago, I was only building 0.3ohm coils... never had an issue.

Unless something proving to genuinely be better comes along, I will carry on with the Samsungs

Also got my first Greenies last week and I am a believer. At .4 ohm they kick like a racehorse.

Maybe more for the noobs, but staying safe with authentic batts is as simple as doing a little math to make sure what your builds draw on them stays below the continuous discharge the battery is rated at. How much below is personal choice, but the wider the buffer the safer the build is with a given battery.

Battery voltage ÷ by ohms coil resistance = amps. Amps × battery voltage = watts.

4.2VDC ÷ 0.3Ω = 14A. 14A × 4.2VDC = 58.8W, so a 0.3Ω build calls for a 20A rated battery.

The maximum discharge rates of batteries are typically expressed as a "C" or amp rating. To calculate the amp rating from a C rating, multiply the mAh of the battery by the C rating and divide by 1000.

1600mAh rated at 15C: 1600 × 15 = 24000 ÷ 1000 = 24A

All the batteries I've destroyed and not one explosion.

All 20A authentics are made well.

Once I inserted batts in a parallel mod in series. Wondered why the box mod was getting so hot.

Threw the 25r in a cup of water, cooled it right down then sent it to the electronic graveyard.

Don't drink and sub ohm
