Well, here’s a bitter one—and I’m not just talking about the hops.
I’ve been a loyal fan of Mad Giant beer for a good few years now. The branding was loud, the flavours were bold, and the bottles looked like they’d beat up your average craft lager in a back alley. It was my go-to, my end-of-day chill-out, and my “testing a new coil” companion.
Then, like an oversteeped custard mix, it all went sideways.
Mad Giant’s brewery closed, and just like that, my beer fridge lost its main tenant. No more Killer Hop, no more Urban Legend, no more Giant flavour. I don’t know whether to cry or crack open the last bottle I’ve been hoarding like a squirrel on nicotine withdrawal.
So here’s the deal—
I’m officially on the hunt for a new beer brand to get obsessed with. Something with punch. Something that isn’t afraid to put some flavour up front and maybe kick you in the palate on the way down.
Suggestions welcome, especially from my fellow South African degenerates.
Bonus points if it pairs well with alien coils and despair.
