Name one thing from your childhood

I've never seen these before. FIRST EDITION 2003 HOTWHEELS FATBAX2 DIE CAST MODELS.Screenshot_20250612_212533_Facebook.jpgScreenshot_20250612_212425_Facebook.jpgScreenshot_20250612_212506_Facebook.jpgScreenshot_20250612_212453_Facebook.jpg

I remember walking bare foot and standing on the extension lead the insulation was cracked on very clearly. No Earth Leakage in those days either. LOL.

I remember this LP cover as clear as a bell. My Grandmother and Grandpa had it and my sister and I loved listening to it when we visited them. I still remember the hum of their valve radiogram and the smell of the warm valves.

Who remembers these?

Flip open alphabetical address and phone number holder...

Always intrigued me how they grouped the letters. They knew which letters were most popular. Haha.

Lol, you can buy it on Ebay for $10.

I've still got my two.

The booster for when we were sick. Didn't matter what ailment you had.

This was the bees' knees when I was a youngster. My Dad bought a second hand Mercedes 190D from a travelling salesman. In beautiful condition but high milage. With this we made the leather work, Wood Panelling on the dash and doors and body work look like brand new again.il_794xN(1)(1).jpg

Something triggered a memory of mine.

In Rhodesia we had a Cold Drink named "Hifi"? It had a lid like a Grolsch Beer, a swing-top or flip-top lid.
I've Googled it and can't find anything or a picture of a bottle.
The reason I remember it is we had a bottle of cherry at home and somehow the neck of the bottle got broken off so my Dad decanted it through a tea sieve into an empty Hifi bottle.
One day I got home from school and was thirsty so when I looked in the cupboard I saw the Hifi bottle and poured some in a cup and drank it. I fancied the tase and had another one. I got slotted. When my Mom and Dad got home they weren't amused to see the state I was in. Once they found out what I had drunk they calmed down realising it was really their fault leaving alcohol in a cold drink bottle in a cupboard we all used daily. LOL.
