Super confused, just to understand - the mod with batteries, does not turn on - but it does if you plug in a USB cable? What happens with other batteries?

Super confused, just to understand - the mod with batteries, does not turn on - but it does if you plug in a USB cable? What happens with other batteries?
so if the cable is not used this mod will not work even with the cable only shows 3.3v
after swtiching out 2 sets of married batteries the device did not show any life
Ok so no batteries but plugged in to pc = on and batteries but no plug = nothing?
I have check the volts coming from the tray
And all leads well into 7.4v to the board

3 batts should show at least 11.1volts?

Sounds to me that's there's a fault from the battery circuit to your board, which is what we told you in that other thread, probably why your batteries were cooking then. Rx200 cuts off at 9v input, if it only reads 7 well that's probably why it wont switch on.

You sure this wasn't perhaps causing the overheating issue previously. 7.4v out of your 3 batteries indicates an issue, and this would mean the mod wouldnt turn on I suppose... Have you tried other batteries?

You said that other one was also second hand, sorry you sometimes have terse way of posting that can be confusing. Please do reply here when you hear back from the electronic expert, I'm very interested as to what causes this problem that seems to be quite common.

If you compare both boards next to one another, is there any visible damage, like a burnt spot on the PCB etc?
Are they both RX200? not 200S or DNA200 right.
This is what I couldn't understand
Check both
Rx200 mods
Both board
No crisp or solder touching from component to component.

I dropped my mod a few days ago, and now mine does the same thing, If i put batteries in the mod heats up very quickly, within 60 seconds it feels as hot as when i am pre-firing a new set of coils at 80W....
I've also taken my mod apart and checked the board, can't see anything wrong and there is no juice inside the device or on the board.

If it is dropped with a cover, it can survive, and more than likely will.
That's your mistake for not having a cover with such a heavy device....
Please understand that it was not me who dropped this device, then above @Jebula999 stated that he did drop his mod.
nobody likes the fact that they dropped there mod.

i have delivered the device to (kempton park area) awaiting the verdict.
I keep mine on a string to my belt, long enough to not hit the floor when dropped. Looking at taking this further, to a bungee cord type setup - hoping that the hype catches on, and that I can register my idea shortly...
Must almost be a hardcase cover for a mod then the bungee cord attached to the hardcase with the mod inside
