OK so tonight was a night of experiments... I built my first spaced coil for my Skyline... I have always built tight coils since I started and I see quite a few people do spaced coils so I gave it a go... there is a difference between the two different styles and I'm not sure which one I prefer yet but I must say I was impressed with the wet vape I got of the spaced coil.
After this I thought I would try a Titanium coil in temp mode... again something I have never done before... so I called up my local expert (@Takie) on Skype to walk me through it.
I built a 6 wrap spaced 0,5mm Titanium spaced coil for the Exocet in the Billet Box.. set the temp to 225C and fired it at 25watts with a resistance of around the 0.3Ω mark. The resistance changes depending on the temp of the coil. Again not sure if I like it as much as my normal coils but again it is different... will play over the next few days!
