What do we think? I see a fair amount of juice in the videos so it already seems like it would be an upgrade to VapeCon and it looks like it would be a much bigger event. If you're interested in going, what are you expecting or hoping to see at the event?

Seems like even the local Spar dispo section is better than VapeCon at this point

what is the point.
its going to be all ewaste products that will end up in a landfill throwing lithium into the ground water because everyone and their mother is obsessed with abusing the stupidity of people by selling them disposables.

disposables are causing more harm than smoking at this point. and I am changing my mind on disposables helping people quit.
rather smoke cigarettes than use a disposable.

@Baxteen, I couldn’t agree more with you on the disposables situation. It’s a nightmare—both for the environment and for the vaping community. Anyone that says otherwise can suck it! The amount of e-waste is out of control, and it’s frustrating to see disposables being pushed so hard, especially when they’re not really helping people quit in the long term.

That said, I’m still excited about the World Vape Show. I’m really hoping we’ll get to see some decent mods and old-school gear—stuff that isn’t destined for a landfill after a couple of uses. Maybe there’s hope for some innovation beyond disposables. Let’s just hope the show isn’t completely overrun by the quick-sell, quick-trash mentality.

I will probibly end up going, and I am just hoping to be less dissapointed.

but the disposable problem is centerted on vape stores. either stores dedicated to selling only disposables, or people like vape king sending out a september specials mails that has as usual 90% disposables. and that is true for so many chain stores.
I get it, it makes money. but maybe take a stand against the waste it produces and instead of selling them help people find better solutions.
pod devices with nic salts is cheaper for the consumer, and will create repeat business for the store. but the store rather says you know what instead of spending R500 on a device and R300 on salts every 2 weeks how about we help you come in and spend "only" R250 every week on these nice disposables....

Well my dream would be to see juice lines getting born again and proper rebuildable devices to hit the SA Vape scene. Formyself i have proven 3 years in a row that i think i can make good vapejuices and it is time to get it out there, i will never have the finances etc but i will be biting the bullet and make it happen. DeemoVapes need to kick it up a notch and lets see if these new events can make it happen. Nudge nudge wink wink Labs and distros i AM AVAILABLE.

I’m actually really looking forward to the World Vape Show in South Africa! It sounds like a great opportunity to check out the latest products and trends in vaping. I’ve been following the scene for a while, and it’s always interesting to see what brands are coming up with. Plus, connecting with fellow vapers and maybe catching some cool demos could be a lot of fun.

...we're gonna be doing something, stay tuned

...lol
Hey Victim. So what are the plans?
How do you feel about a little colab? I would love to show off my coils, but I am way to small fry to have my own stand.

good day, what I meant was, we gonna have a meet there

the cost of a stand is astronomical

I just hope ThunderCloud and ThunderHead Creations are there. I want to thank them in person for all the free stuff.

Here is the current floor plan showing what vendors already booked space. Loads of Chinese stands.

R118,000 for the smallest stand they have.
I don't expect to see any South African brands there.

We'd love to support South African brands and help them exhibit :)
What local brands would you like to see at the show that are still active in the SA Vape market?

For me its got to be the concentrate people. So Blk; Flavourworld; and The Flavor Mill (I know there are some others as well) but personally after a long struggle with smoking its been the DIY route that let me give up on the cigarettes and all 3 have helped me along the way. Some samples on concentrates here and there and advice and just generally helpful people. I am helping out at the DIY stand already but these folks to me are where our support is needed.

That’s a solid list, @cadenv — you’ve nailed the backbone of the South African DIY scene right there.

I’ve spoken with all three of those brands, and the message was the same across the board: they’re steering clear of the “vape” label, and honestly, it’s a smart move. The concentrates they sell aren’t just for us cloud-chasers — they’re used in everything from drinks to desserts. If (or when) the hammer drops on vaping, they’ll still be standing, keeping DIY alive from the shadows of the kitchen rather than the vape shelf.

It’s not about hiding — it’s about surviving. And if that keeps the flavour bottles flowing for the rest of us, I say let them wear the “food and beverage” hat with pride.

Yip, I wonder if ANY SA Vendors will be at the show?
Oh, there’ll be at least one familiar face there — I’ll have a stand at the show, flying the Old Goat flag and spreading the gospel of DIY.

If you’re planning to swing by, grab your raffle tickets before the show. The prizes this time are ridiculous — and once the gates open, those tickets will be long gone.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Looking at the site, it seems like the show is for businesses only and not the public?
