What Do We Think Of World Vape Show: South Africa 2025?

Hey guys, we're opening the doors of WVS SA to a select number of vape enthusiasts! Please message me for the registration link :)

OK, so there appears to be ZERO feedback on the WVS. Did anyone attend the show, and if so, what was your feedback?

Mmm firstly the positives were that a whole bunch of people showed some interest in the DIY stand I was helping at that Old Goat set up. We did some live mixes @Quintusson even made a on the spot mix with some concentrates that Rekka (now rebranded to Ricca) had given us to play with so a big thanks to him. There was some love for some of the old school mods and the coil building set up. We also saw some international juices and they said they would be or were coming back into the market but it looked like 1 shots mostly which makes sense given the current taxes etc. Lots of pouches doing the rounds and I tried them and was not impressed. Don't think it is for me. Also got given some nic infused toothpicks apparently we can look forward to those being a thing but have yet to try them.

Another really cool bit was a Nic supplier out of France who let us have some other types of Nic salts to play with. I have yet to try anything other than a combination salt that I mixed up for them using one of their salts and I can only say I noticed a "bigger nicotine hit" when trying it but I will try the rest when I get a chance. Most interesting is a Lactate based salt which is apparently what most of Europe is moving towards and is better for you. Best suited to desserts so right up my alley but testing will be a bit of a steep away.

Got to meet some of the local vendors and bigger suppliers so that was good and certainly nice to make some connections though I am sure some people would already know a lot of them who have been around the scene longer than me.

The negatives for me too many generic Disposables and not as many people more into the DIY side ie concentrates etc. Sadly a whole lot of people didn't even have a clue about old school mods or coils or anything. Would like to say we at least spread the word and showed that mixing and that outside of disposables there are other options even if you don't want to go to a Mod you can use a pod instead.

Would have been nice if it was more accessible to the local vendors but overall I had a good time. Biggest learning or takeaway was that there is a lot to learn about the developments in Nicotine and that perhaps we should start asking about Nicotine options especially on the salts side of things.
