I am not happy at the moment, you ppl might think yea another shipping one coming. Yes it is
Let explain and before i do this let me just say i had second thoughts of posting this but the fact that Vape Cartel did not apologize in the PM's we had today, changed my mind

So i was looking for driptips and @KieranD Pm'ed me to tell me they have some on sale. So i bought some and paid on Monday asking him to send it out the same day so that i will have it by the weekend. He assured me that it will be done and i made payment about 8:30 in the morning Monday

On Wednesday i get a PM from him saying that something came up and he did not get a chance to mail the stuff but will send it via Speed service without additional cost to me, so that i can have it by the weekend

This morning, Friday, i PM him to get the tracking number. After a wile he did not respond so i phoned the PO and they tell me there is no mail for me.

The only conclusion i can come to is that he did not mail the stuff, like i have been asking since Monday, and that i will not have my stuff by the weekend as asked, again, on monday

Like it goes in small towns, the PO will be closed on Saturday so yea i am not a happy camper at the moment

Do we that spend just a few rand get the same treatment as the ppl spending thousands? Does not look like that

Hi @kimbo, I can assure you that all our customers are treated exactly the same no matter how much is spent with us.
The parcel was sent off on Wednesday as agreed with Speed Services along with the colour kit that we added for you. It was not shipped by myself that is why I haven't gotten the tracking number for you.

I do apologise that it has not arrived and I will follow up why it has not been.

I do apologise for the inconvenience caused by this

Post office is on strike. Not fair to blame the vendor.

Check on the post office website. There is a press releases tab, lot of casual worker striking. Were supposed to start work today, but guess theyd still be 2 or 3 days behind.

I can attest to this.... Been on hold for 1hr27mins so far with the SAPO call centre.
Not picking up, call centre is clearly unmanned.
Apparently the strike is only in Pretoria and JHB.

I'm sorry guys, the strike has nothing to do with the fact that @kimbo has been sitting in the dark as to what was going on with his order

I agree with @BumbleBee, it's not the first time lack of communication to customers is the issue with this vendor.

Well i still don't have a tracking number

Edit: No feedback PM or public

That sucks. Sorry man. It's when I read things like this that makes me steer clear of these types of vendors, your customers are your business, my hard earned money can be spent elsewhere.

For eg. Kalahari.com messed up a few of my orders, but they always informed me of what was going on, thats why I keep supporting them.

I don't mind hiccups or things being delayed, just keep the communication channel open, even if there is no feedback to give. I can't emphasize this enough with my own staff to keep customers informed, just so that they know that we haven't forgotten about them.

And vendors are not allowed to PM members with offers or do any punting via PM - as far as I know. Is that not just taking the "no punting on general forums" underground? If so, it should be an offence with an immediate banning as consequence.
Of course this should not apply to a member sending a PM to a vendor.

are mods/admins able to view whats happening via pm ?

Well it's Sunday morning, and not a peep from Vape Cartel since Friday. I understand it's weekend but at least they could just give me the tracking yesterday, but like they say school fees will be paid trough out life.

I think that the definition of "punting" also needs to be better defined as often vendors cannot offer advice as it may be seen as punting. I will not get into this too deeply here as I don't want to thread jack but perhaps it can be discussed at some stage.:)

If someone asks a specific question or is looking for something specific and it's not in the "Who has Stock" thread (which it should be) then it's appropriate for a vendor to drop them a PM. Hope that clears it up?

Because then you are helping a member and not punting. ;)

Cool thanks, just wanted to be clear about that. :)

I do this quite regularly. Was never sure if I'm actually allowed to. I consider it being pro-active.
I'm hesitant to post these days in the open forum. I'm a vaper first and a business man second. Sometimes the line on punting and giving info is blurry. So I just don't go there altogether.

I also often find myself hesitant to reply as my advice may be seen as punting. I think that there should be an understanding that where a vendor offers advice it is not always punting but can also be primarily from a fellow vapers perspective. i.e. I may suggest to a person looking into cloud chasing to look at "Atty X" which my store does sell, but is also stocked at other stores or available through online sites. This recommendation would be for the Atty and I would not be referring them to our store or even bringing up that we stock it. Just something I struggle to differentiate with between punting and advice.

My current rule of thumb is: Do it until someone yells at you. Then stop :D

Yip, I agree fully with the vendors here.

Since registering as a vendor, I often want to give advice but end up not doing so in case it seems to be punting.

As a rule I avoid sapo, the extra paid for the courier doesnt come close to the assault to the senses a trip to sapo can provide.why stand in a queue when a guy can come and knock on my office door for a few bucks more
